Unfortunately that is standard for the military ones.
If you want the cause of death you could purchase his death certificate from https://www.bdmhistoricalrecords.dia.govt.nz/search/

David Wilson-Pinkney
Adamsdown Cemetery
Hi,

I may be corrected but weren't all the burial remains moved from Adamsdown to Cathays when this park area was created? technically these are just memorials. Maybe a note should be added to this cemetery to show that?

RE: Thomas William Bowes and wife Ethel
You're welcome. The bottom of the footstone was overgrown by grass which I removed to reveal Ethel's name hence the uneven coloration.

You'll have had an email from Find A Grave to say that I've filled the request for Pamela Kennedy at Bandon Hill. She is buried with husband William (1-Sep-1920 - 28-Jan-2003). As he's family, I'll let you do the honours and create a memorial for him and when I see you've done so, I'll upload the photo there too. No need to create a new request. The plot number is XM134.

BTW, You'll see that Pamela's DoD on the headstone is 26-Aug-1992. Perhaps 7-Sep was the burial date?

Photo requests, Birmingham.
Sorry, but I'm not having much luck with your requests in the Birmingham Area. Your request for "Hands" in Kings Norton churchyard however may be resolved soon as I have ordered a full listing of all memorial transcriptions from BMSGH shop. You may want to look up this site (BMSGH = Birmingham & Midland Society for Geneology & Heraldry). They have downloads of memorial transcriptions at reasonable cost for many locations in Warwickshire, Worcestershire & Staffordshire, and also CD's for whole counties.
The problem with some inner Birmingham graveyards and cemeteries is that they were bomb damaged in WW2, and re-landscaped in the fifties, losing hundreds of memorials in the process.

She went today sadly no headstone or grass but it is the plot. Jackie needed a few from West Tce for her tree so we thought we would ask for yours to -so 100% genuine AU photo!!

RE: More thanks
I have returned from Adamsdown due to seeing the Hound of the Baskervilles roaming and I ran out of chalk! Will take my minder & spotter in the morning.
Yes Cathays is a worry she was an elderly lady - very sad as you say that a woman can't feel safe visiting a grave.
Jackie has spent many hours there but now I'll go with her.

Adamsdown
Never say never! I'll be back there this weekend & my wife will be armed with a large box of chalk!
There's a wall where they have used the long flat graves as coping as you can imagine they are very weather worn but ? some chalk may help.
Will let you know if we find anything

Cathays
No problem & your welcome. It was good to find a headstone! My wifes family were all buried there and there is nothing but grass plots - I know Cathays had bomb damage WW2 & I'm guessing many unsafe memorials were removed many years ago.
Will have another look this weekend subject to Welsh weather

Your very welcome - I'm working fulltime but will do my best to work down your list of requests!Very well maintained cemetery but with the crematorium it can be hard to park if I'm passing again I'll look for the graves you need. Section photo's taken today I've stored so if you need them just add a request and I'll add.
