Andy New
I have discovered another Andy New who was born in 1916. I discovered this because a family member of my Andy New told me he died in the coal mines in the 1930's or 40's. So it looks like this marker is correct.

Andy New
Hi there again!
I know that his marker reads he was born 1916. But, his birthdate has to be about 1903. His daddy died before 1910, and his momma remarried Tolbert Gooslin. I have researched and double checked this. His parents are Issac and Elizabeth Blackburn New. Unless I have the wrong guy! LOL
Find A Grave Memorial# 111896090 let me know your thoughts.
Thanks again for all you do!

Cordialla Howard Storer
Dear Ms. Coleman,

Thank you so very much for the work you are doing on FIND A GRAVE! I found one of my ancestors, Cordialla Howard Storer, on this site and it was listed that her parents were William and Mary. I was wondering where you got this information as I am trying to trance her ancestry.

Any information you could provide would be most appreciated.

Thank you, again!

These are family members (Gibbon & Pheby Gooslin) and I have information to add to both. Would you mind separating these two people, so that each has their own memorial?
Thanks a bunch, Terry

Hello Andrea not sure if we are related or not, but I noticed you have a lot of information on my Mounts family from my mother's side. My grandmother was Lana Jewel Mounts.I am also related to the Colemans from Pike Kentucky through my 2xgreat grandmother Charlotte Coleman. If you have any photos or stories you could share with me about my family it would be greatly appreciated, I never got to meet my family in Pikeville. Thanks!

James Daniels
I was looking through my relatives in the Daniels Cemetery, came across James & saw that you had written he was your grandfather. I am searching for James, the son of my Uncle Charlie. I'm curious, would this be him or one of my other cousins, as I've found there are several James and Charles Daniels in our family. The James I am searching for is also the song (I believe) of Clarissa Adams. Do you have any background info on the Daniels side that we might share? I come from the line of Rachel Daniels, Richard, Ezekiel, and then Pearl, if any of those names might ring a bell. You can email me if you'd rather @ I hope to hear back from you.

I noticed that you left flowers for Tennessee Campbell, are you related to her? I am trying to find relatives of her son, David Campbell, who was married to my grandmother Stella Wilson. Any information that you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

M.F Allen Memorial# 107094528
Dear Andrea,
Hello there, I am writing about the grave of M.F. Allen and I am wondering if this could be the grave of Mary F Allen. She died at the age of 16 on Oct 28, 1904. I realize the headstone says 1905 but sometimes they can be wrong. Mary F Allen was born January 1889 per the 1900 census which could be off by one year. I know it's not completely matching but do you know if this is her grave? She died of pneumonia and her younger sister died a few months previous of influenza. Mary F Allen and Peggy Allen were my grand aunts and sisters to George Washington Allen my grandfather. Any info you may have would be greatly appreciated.Happy New Year!

John C. Calhoun Mem#102720759
We visited Ralph Mayhorn this past Monday, we also visited Francis Family Cemetery across the creek up the road from Ralph's house. Ralph said there are 5 graves. John C. Francis, Sylvania Wolford Francis, their son Frank Francis, Sylvester Bryant, Sylvania's 2nd husband and Jim Francis.

Ralph didn't know anything about a tree growing thru John's grave. We took some pictures, I can send if you want. I tried to send you a private message, but it came back.

Your F-a-G Memorial #104140591
Roane Co., WV Death Cert.#5836
R. L. Phillips, age 45, b. KY died at Spencer State Hospital, Roane Co., WV 12 Mar 1931 of Lobar pneumonia.
Body unclaimed.
However, he was not buried at the hospital cemetery. His body was removed to WV University, Morgantown, WV on 22 April 1931.

In researching deaths at Spencer State Hospital I have found 322 patients whose bodies were donated to WV University-Med Center. I am creating F-a-G memorials for those I find but under individual names since they were not buried at specific cemetery.

One more thing. My wife's 2nd great grandmother is Louisa Jane Coleman, daughter of Daniel and Sarah Coleman and wife of Ransom Dotson. Maybe you're cousins?

RE: Hello
Hi Andrea. Thanks for your comments. I would be very grateful for your help. I'll send you an email when I have completed my list, and maybe we can compare notes. Thank you especially for photographing the Jordan Dotson cemetery in Phelps. My wife's 2nd and 3rd great grandparents (on her mother's side) are there.

She is from Pike County (Hardy) but we live in Toronto, Canada. We have spent most of our 3-week vacation here in Kentucky visiting and photographing cemeteries.

The reunion I was thinking of is on July 20th at the Hardy Park Grounds. It is mainly for descendants of Deputy Sheriff Floyd Hatfield (1858-1938), who was the son of George Hatfield (1804-1883) and the grandson of Ephraim "Eph of All" Hatfield (1765-1847).

Help Please
I am desperately looking for someone who can help me find some information. Paris Daugherty had a sister, Merlie, she was my great grandmother. She married a John Rutherford who was born around 1903 in Virginia, and supposedly died in a coal mine cave in sometime between 1930 and 1950. I have hit a dead end on John. I have resorted to trying to loop over from siblings. Any help, suggestions, or information would be greatly appreciated.
