RE: Millie Ryals
My mother has really enjoyed that picture; she knows a lot of the people, and when she saw the list of names, she realized it was her mother's handwriting. Thanks again for going beyond the job to let us know about it. I'm not sure I would even have recognized my grandmother in that crowd. Did you say they were standing in front of a school? The Kinsey woman my mother knows thought it was a church. If it is a school, there are a lot of adults in the picture, but if it is a church, where are the adult men? Also, I assume the man in the front was the teacher, but his name isn't given. Do you know who he is? Do you have any more information about the building? I have that big black Johnston County history book; I should look in there. But it is so big, and not well indexed, so it is hard to find things.

I just went through your edit list and clicked accept, but I didn't do the final approval because I wanted to ask if you would like for me to transfer the memorials for each of them to you, and I could use the list to do that.

I have metastasized breast cancer that has spread to my liver and my backbone, so I am not really able to do this work much any more, and will have to get rid of them soon. I suppose I could just let findagrave reassign them, but before I do that, I am asking people that do a lot of work in Johnston County if there are any names they would like to have transferred to them. I know I like to have my extended family's memorials since I change them more often, so it is easier. So I thought there might be some you would like to have. This includes any of my memorials (except my family) that I maintain. I think there is a list in the contributer section. I have about 1000 of them, so I need to get rid of as many as possible. Just send me a list of the names of any memorials you would like to take care of.

Thanks, Connie

RE: Millie Ryals
It is on my page, I think, but it is: Sorry to bother you again. Maybe this will satisfy my curious mother. She says some of the Kinseys go to her church. (Stone's Creek), and she always tries to find connections.

I appreciate your help!

Mom remembers Thenie well. So, of course, she would like to know your wife's name and get a copy of the other picture you have. Thanks again...

RE: Millie Ryals
Thank you very much. You are correct; that is my grandmother Millie. And I do have a copy of that picture, but it is damaged. The one you have is much better. I've just been working on pictures of Mom's family for a reunion the Ryals family recently had.

My mother will want to know who had the picture - your wife's grandmother.

Thanks again... c

You are welcome! I find it very enjoyable to photograph these headstones and place them on Find a Grave for those who do not live nearby. I am glad to do it!

Thanks for the correction. I'm not sure how it happened either but I have seen this type of error before. Maybe it occured before the edits were put in place or from data that was downloaded rather than keyed in.

Barefoot stone pics
We went to the cemetery and took photos of all the stones that we could find. The cemetery area is all in trees and brush. Who knows if the other ones are really there or not. We spent a good amount of time there searching for all of them.

Photo requests
Wow that is great that you were able to finally get those pics that you were wanting. To bad that people have to be like that sometimes. All our pleasure on the photo from the weekend. We love doing photos for you. You always send us on a great adventure and we get great work done in the area.

Tom, I have transferred Luther to you but I checked my records and I only took three pictures at Antioch Cemetery one for Lewis and one for George Ernest Waddell and one of the Cemetery sign. The one for George Ernest b 7/20/1902 & Maude Corbett b /19/1911 did not have death dates Date pictures taken 8/1/2006. I do not remember ever taking pictures in Madison County, North Carolina. If you get the time you might check Antioch to see if I'm crazy or not. Anything is possible. It would not be the first time I made a mistake nor will it be the last (according to my wife). Tom

Carra Bell Darnell Golembenski
The #92141795 is not for her father. This would be for her husband. #57366375 is for her mother being a Darnell. The first one is for a Golembenski, making him her husband presumably. Anyway thats how I got it listed. If you find her dad just let me know.....Poppy*

Ella Barefoot

I've walked the entire cemetery and feel that I read every headstone but could not find Ella. Do you have any additional information? Spouse? Maiden name? Most of the plots in this cemetery are family plots, and sometimes people have been buried within the plot of their origin (if that makes sense).

The cemetery is not close to me and I probably won't go back until there are a few more requests but if you can provide any additional details I'll try to locate her again.
