Flowers Genealogy
Hi Becky, I got your name from Terry Flowers in Houston, MO. My name is Holly Robertson. Terry said that you are writing a book on the Flowers genealogy. My gg grandparents were William "Bill" & Mahala "Haley" Flowers. My siblings & I own the farm where they are buried in the Flowers cemetery (along with 5 other relatives). The farm was homesteaded on July 2, 1872 by Bill & Haley. It has been in our family for 144 years! My dad kept ALL of the deeds for the property. My brother has the original deed from where Bill & Haley bought property from James Ransome Flowers (Bill & Reuben's brother) & later extended the acreage. I am wondering if you might be interested in having a copy of some of the deeds to put in your book & pictures of the Flowers Cemetery.

When we recently inherited the farm from our dad, we started taking more interest in our Flowers genealogy. In fact, my brother started a FB page named "Ancestor Acres" & since then I have found several distant cousins that we never knew before. I would love to add you to the page if you have a FB account. I'm assuming that you are from the Flowers lineage?

There is confusion about my family's line of the Flowers. I am hoping that you might have the answers. We do know that my line came from Christopher Columbus Flowers and his son James. The confusion is as to whether we came from Roland or Anthony (who were brothers/James' sons). Some of my extended family members have that Roland & Anna (Garrett) Flower's son, Arthur Garrett Flowers was married to Polly Kite. Others have that Anthony & Catharine (Krunk) Flowers' son, William Arthur Flowers, was married to Polly Kite.

The question is: Who was my ggg grandpa (father to my gg grandfather William H."Bill" Flowers).... Arthur Garrett Flowers (son of Roland) or William Arthur Flowers (son of Anthony)? We do know that Polly Kite was my ggg grandmother.

I am hoping that you have the answers to solve the mystery! I appreciate any information that you might have. You can email me: hkrrn@hotmail.com
