Barbara Wolf
Thomas Surfus, Wolf Lake
He cannot be in Section 5 as it is a new section and only has about two dozen tombstones. I did walk the section just to make sure. There is a number of Surfuses buried at the cemetery but I could not find a Thomas. DAR says he is buried there but his location is unknown.

RE: Landreths
I see that there are no current photo requests for Murray Cemetery in Willard, Missouri. This is a follow up for photo requests from last year for a few graves with the surname Landreth.

My family just made another visit to that cemetery yesterday. As others have reported, we did not find any headstones with that surname. However there are quite a few eroded and illegible headstones there.

There is another cemetery named Wesley on the other side of Willard. Maybe these Landreths could be buried there instead.

RE: Claude Porter
I regret that, although Claude Porter may have been buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, he has no marker at this time. I searched the cemetery again, and paid special attention to the area where they say he is buried. There is no marker there. Also, if you check the Bath Township website, you'll find a listing done in 2007 of all markers. His name is not listed in that record of markers present. It's possible it was destroyed, removed, or one of an impermanent kind was placed for him. I've been to many cemeteries where even relatively recent markers (10+ years old) were made of wood or other materials that will not last, or small and flat that will be covered over in time. Sorry.

The Gilbert grave is right beside the other two. I was told that her children put a marker on the grave but I assume they did not do so. Thanks for going the extra mile. I will remove the request for the photo.

Thanks so much for taking the time to photograph his headstone. If possible, could you add the same photo to his wife's memorial, Ellen Fooks Stoker, #134456596. I'll submit a request for it as well.

Thanks again, Sherrill

Your welcome for the photos. I took over 800 photos that day at Northlawn cemetery, spending most of my afternoon there. My goal is to have taken photos of all who rest there. Many more to go, but I can only do it it my spare time and I haven't had much of that lately. Hopefully I will complete Northlawn and maybe even head to Jackson County, one never knows.
