I thought it was appropriate to transfer his memorial to you. I apologize for not asking you first and am glad you are happy about it.

I've reconnected to doing my family-tree and was wondering if your through the Massey or Griggs family tree. I guess your one generation after mine. Can I ask which family line you are with? My email is email@example.com or you can send a message though find-a-grave but it's public domain, my Find A Grave acct 48495239. I'm always excited to hear about the family. Thanks.

|richie yow||RE: doris yow|
Dad said the cemetery is in the woods in Mechanicville, Darlington sc. He did not even know about it until one day they were logging and my granddad (elvin older in years and all ready retired at the time. About 1 prior to his death) kept walking out in the woods during lunch. So one dad dad followed him and that is when my granddad told all his other children. Elvis wife Rosa Rhetta and Doris were friends. Dad said every winter they always took wood to Mr and Mrs Webb and kept them supplied. Dad always wandered why until he found he had an older sister that died as a baby. But he can not remember the name. I will look and see if I have it someplace.

I am the oldest child of James Stewart McFadden, Jr. and Pauline C. McFadden Frostick. I notice
you don't have me or my sister listed as his children. If I can get the info can you add it for me.
I love the site. I had never seen that particular photo of my dad. It brought back loving memories. Thanks for doing a great job.
Also I noticed a lot of work done by Rick and Kathy Wright. Are they kin to the McFaddens?
Thanks for all!

I sent you through the edit button a copy of some bio for him. We are working on an annual for the PD, and there are 4 officers who have been killed in the line of duty. Each one will have a memorial page in the annual, and we would like to find a descendant (or close relative) for each officer to present a copy to. Also, any extra biographical info or photos will be helpful. The bio I sent you is what we plan so far to put in the annual about McFadden. I know he was entered as a Sgt. because that is what was on his tombstone from his time in the military, but he had not quite made that rank here when he died. I'm fascinated by his sleeve patches, which our motorcycle units quit wearing. I wonder if anyone would have his old uniforms to take photos of them.

I saw where you left him a flower saying that he is your great granduncle. I am working on a project at the PD where we are trying to add him to our memorial, and we are trying to locate family members who may have more photos of him. If you have any or know someone who does, can you please get them to contact me?

|agagee||Union ARP Church Cemetery|
Thank you for the information you have placed on memorials at Union ARP Church Cemetery. I have worked very hard to link as many families as possible to each other. I feel that this is very important for generations to come. Any information you can add to memorials at Union will be appreciated. I have made sure that all graves that are marked and some that are not marked are in Find A Grave. Jean Agee and Jerry Locke both have a list of the graves and these books have been checked to make sure they are in Find A Grave. Thanks again for your hard work.

|Julious||RE: Massey Cemetery|
Directions to Massey Cemetery:
From Chesterfield, S.C. take Highway 9 West. Just outside the city limits turn right on Wamble Hill Road. When you get to the intersection of Wexford Road there will be two roads when you cross Wexford Road. The left one will be Rambling Road. Take this road and go past a small brick house on the right next to the road. There will be a pine forest after that on the right. Just before that forest ends there will be a drive on the right with a red metal gate. The cemetery will be right at that gate on the right. There will be a second red gate but that one goes to a mobile home. If you go past the pines back up.

I have added photos to the Massey Cemetery in Chesterfield County, S.C. There is one more Massey marker that has the top broken off. I did not find the top. I will go back later and try again. There are several McNair graves here which I will add. One side of the cemetery is Masseys and the other side is McNairs. Do you know the connection of the Masseys to the McNairs?
