Dimmis Wickham
Thanks for your request (6/30) to add genealogical information to this memorial. However, I agree with the note below regarding what is and is not appropriate (or the best) information to round out a memorial on this website. I've included Dimmis' parents information you provided since their exact grave locations are unknown (and likely not to be found). The direct linneage connections to Mayflower Compact signatories you cite, however, are for her husband (another likely-not-to-be-found grave location), not her and so don't belong here. The Mayflower linneage for David Wickham is well known and published in the GSMD five-generations silver books where Dimmis is also cited - and several other scholarly genealogies published elswhere. And not all the information you provided regarding the children was correct - which is exactly the hazard of providing genealogical inforamtion here as if fact. As the gentleman below suggests, the children can be linked and THEY, not Dimmis, are the direct Mayflower descendants via their father. Otherwise, the memorials I manage are specifically and exactly about the graves themselves, and especially the lives they memorialize. For this reason, I took great pains to have the Dimmis Wickham stone re-photographed so the epitaph could finally be correctly transcribed, correct by line/case/font - comparable with the photo. This sort of information is what you won't find in published genealogies and what this website does best. . . .

Appreciatively, Philip in NYC

I received your update request for the above individual. I added the paragraph on the lineage from the Mayflower. I did not add the parents and sibling info. I did add a link to his parents so you can see who they are. Sibling info is not typical on the memorials since this is a grave registration site, not a genealogical site. You can get his siblings recognized by asking those that have created memorials for his siblings to link them to their parents. Thus following the links you can find the familial relationships.
