I want to thank you for everything you do on your site. I have learned so much about my family that I probably wouldn't have learned if not for your photos and research. You've given me clues all along the way! Keep up the excellent service. God Bless.

Hello there! Just wanted to reach out and say hello. I saw your listing on Johnie Sue Larkin Motlow when I was doing a bit of research. As I kept digging, I saw that you had also posted on my Uncle Dud & Aunt Myrtice Johnson. I'm Rufus Johnson's Grandaughter, Mollyanne.

Hello, i wanted to follow up with you on James. After a few months of searching it turns out James was cremated and placed with his parents, according to the cemetery. His name, however, was not included on their stone. I made a memorial for him, and it has a picture of his parents stone, if you want to manage it.

That's ok, I did not know his son was buried up there too. I will check with the funeral home to see where he is. I don't think he was there with his parents, they are located on a raised section that is away from other graves, but there were two up there that were unmarked. I will see if one of them was near these two.

Good morning, I was told by an administrator that the location for Myrtice was SM14, Lot 25 Space 2A and that Charles was in !A. I believe I was in the right spot but there was no headstones or markers. I will go back tomorrow and ask them to check the hard copy(index card file) to see if a headstone has been listed on the card. Still working it for you.

|Larry & Edie Doepel||Gertrude Lay|
You're absolutely right...the photos are of the same headstone. But Mrs. Lay is most assuredly not in Fincastle Cemetery. I am very, very familiar with both Fincastle Cemetery (just a mile or two from my home) and Woodlawn Cemetery (which I pass every single day on my way back and forth to work). One of the reasons I take photo shots of the headstones and the surroundings is for this very reason...so there's no question later on down the road which cemetery they are in. (I could take you right straight to her grave just by looking at the pictures I took)
It looks to me like Ms. Hakola has just made a simple mistake in putting Gertrude at Fincastle. It's a very easy mistake to make. If she hasn't responded to you, you can contact the administrators of Find A Grave and ask them to delete the duplicate memorial. Present them with this P.M. as part of your proof, and send them a link to both memorials.
Have a very Merry Christmas!!

|Billie Aycock||RE: Elizabeth Larkin Hunt and Elizabeth Garland Pogue|
The marker was broken off the base stone. The engraving on the stone is so damaged that I could hardly make out what was written. I could make out Elizabeth Hunt and the birth year and death year.The letters on the stone are filling with water, freezing and eroding the stone away.a person may be able to brush the letters out and get a better picture.
The grave yard is in bad shape. lots of trees down damageing the head stones. It looks like a twister went thru the middle of the Cemetery. One large tree is what damaged Elizabeth's grave stone.
