Betty Vaughn
Williams family
Thank you for sharing the history of Thomas Williams and his descendants. My children, through their father, descend from Hardy Ware. There is so much online that is wrong about him, seeing your histories help me trace the Ware family since John William Ware married Mary Naomi Williams and Leonard Williams married Mary Jane Ware (daughter of Hardy and unknown woman - NOT Drucilla House).

Hudson, William & Mary Whitaker
Hi Blanche, I am new to findagrave but have been doing genealogy for almost 6 years. I have one Whitaker aunt living in Sullivan's Island, SC, and she got me started. I never knew there was so much history to my direct line. I was hoping that you would transfer Hudson Whitaker #110542326, William Whitaker #110550915 and Mary Cantey Whitaker #115491764 to me. They are actually buried in the Whitaker Graveyard in Baldwin County. My husband and I saw the graveyard 3 yrs ago and I have pictures of the tombstones. I've added the cemetery to Find A Grave. I don't believe that Hudson's wife Susannah Thomas is buried there. She remarried in 1817 to Miles Young and they had a child Susannah. She married a Mr. Dudley. (found a Susannah Dudley on Find A Grave but do not know for certain who her parents are) William Whitaker and Mary Cantey Whitaker had the first James Cantey Whitaker born in 1815. My father was the 4th and my brother is the 5th. I have a picture of Mary Cantey Whitaker and I also have obits for William and Mary. It is also believed that Willis Whitaker, brother to William, and his wife Rebecca Britt, and some of their children are buried in the Whitaker Graveyard. There are many sunken places but no headstones. See History of Baldwin Co by Anna Cook and Our Children's Ancestry by Sarah Cantey Whitaker Allen. Willis had lived in Sandersville, GA, but then moved back on the east side of Gum Creek where they resided until their deaths. Mrs. Allen remembers visiting Uncle Willis at his home not that far from where she lived. I'd really appreciate it, Blanche, if you would transfer my direct line Hudson, William and Mary Cantey Whitaker to me. Thank you. Thanks for all of your hard work too.

Hello 10th g-granddaughter. I am 13th g-granddaughter.
All the trees on Ancestry list her DOD as 1606, some in Dec. and some in June.
Don't know if you want to include the year on her memorial or not.

Hi Blanche,

Martha Andrews Routh Sears is my great-grandmother, Robert Wade Sears is my great-grandfather, Martha bore a number of sons including my grandfather, Ernest Douglas "Dick" Sears, 1898-1977, I have located her grave site using the URL copied below: the record shows Mountain View Cemetery, Oakland, Alameda County, CA, Plot 56, there are two names on the marker, George C. Sears 1892-1955 "Son" and Martha A. Sears 1868-1931 "Mother."

Thanks for the wonderful investigative work you have accomplished. I am especially grateful for your research on the Routh family.

Peace, Tim Lally

I am the family story teller. Brooks is my brother-in-law's (Frank) 3rd GGF. Brooks > Robert > /Brooks > Frank W > Alvie Lewis is Bro-in-law's father. Frank is married to my sister, Pat Gill. I just started on the Williams branch - your information is a godsend! I told Frank he is a direct descendant of Roger Williams, but I didn't know about the Indian years.

Stancil Cobb
Hi Blanche,

I just wanted to reach out and say hello to a distant cousin. We share a common ancestor via Stancil Cobb. Stancil was my 5th Great Grandfather.

My lineage is routed below:
David Cobb > Stancil Cobb > Emeline Cobb Reed > Martha Reed Rogers > Jefferson C. Rogers, Jr. > Benjamin Franklin Rogers> Barbara Inez Rogers Horton > E. Del Horton > Me!

I am enjoying my researching of my paternal grandmother's family. So many treasures I have found. What a historical family lineage. So exciting.

Hope this finds you well.

Warmest Regards!

Good morning Blanche. I found Pamela (Permelia, Parmelia, etc.) on Find a Grave and wanted to check your information on her death date. I have her as mother of Albert G. Phillips and living with him in Coryell County, TX. as shown on the 1880 Census. You show her as dying in 1871. Do you have any documentation? I am almost sure that is her on the 1880 census.
Any info is appreciated!
