Nanaimo - James Doug Jordan

You have a photo request down for this individual but the write-up on the person say the ashes were scattered. Do you believe there is a gravestone somewhere?

Orrock / Orock
From "Pioneer History of Midhurst"
James Orrock decided that the spelling of his name was too long and had it changed to spell Orock. The family all accepted this excemp Robert, who with his family, have always retained the original spelling of their surname.

Terrance B. Sweeney
Marriaton Cemetery
There is already a listing for this cemetery under it's correct name listed as St. Johns Anglican Cemetery, Marieton which is the correct spelling and located @

Could you please move your memorials there with your photo requests and ask for Marriaton Cemetery to be removed?

James & Ida McDougall
Thank you for the additional information - I've added to both of their bios & then noticed you had added a lovely headstone photo to James' record. So I updated his record as well with the inscription.

Appreciate your help & all that you are doing!

Mabel Gasser
Hello again, I noticed on the photo of the memorial you entered for Rosie Miller #85306127, that her daughter Mabel M. Gasser 85305783 is also on the stone. Would you please add the photo you entered for Rosie to Mabel as well? Thank you. Roberta 47206506

Thank you for photographing this stone . It is that of my great Uncle who was an early settler in Regina and built up a good business. I think one of his sons was in the Mounties .
Thanks Morag

re: Gordon Nelson
Hi, I got a message that you had taken a photo of Gordon's headstone, but it did not show up on his profile. If you did take a photo, thank you and could you please check to see why it didn't show up. Thank you.

RE: GRASSICK - George and family
Pictures were fine. All looked good. You have taken tons of pictures and created memorials and that is very commendable, it is a lot of work and effort.
I started out going at it kinda strong, but life happened and this and that got in the way and so on and so forth. I commend you for all your efforts. I know that I, and I am sure others, truly appreciate what you have done/do.
Take good care!

Thanks again Ron for all the transfers. I was surprised to see information from my website already on the memorials! That's great! Also, wanted to tell you that I am a retired Deputy US Marshal since you mentioned being retired RCMP.
Take care and sincere thanks. Debbie

re: Gordon Nelson
Hi Ron, also could you please link Gordon to his parents, please. His Dad was George Nelson (Goran Nilsson)#54853523 and his Mom, was Berry K. Johansson (Johnson) # 65707717, in the New Stockholm Lutheran Cemetery.
Also if you are not related, could you possibly transfer Gordon's memorial to me? I have photos and extra information that I would like to add when I get the time. Thank you.

re: Gordon Nelson
Hi, thank you for creating a memorial to my uncle, Gordon Nelson. One correction, if you could please correct the spelling of my Dad's name (as one of Gordon's siblings). He was Erwin Ronald Nelson (not Irwin). He didn't like Erwin, so he went by Ron. He was a younger brother to Gordon. I realize the paper had his name spelled wrong. If you could please correct that, I'd appreciate it! Thank you.

RE: Reur: Conrad Bain
Thanks for the info. Since Conrad Bain is listed as 'famous' on the Find A Grave website, the administrators now have ownership of that memorial and will not transfer it.

Yes, getting your emails both ways, direct and also via Find A Grave.
I stopped for a bite to eat sooner than you did.
Will try to add links and what have you for Grant and family in the next few days. Sometimes I am up all night doing that sort of thing, other times not so much.
I do appreciate everything you have done and are doing to connect this family. What a wonderful find for future family history seekers.
I also took a brief peek at your Regina Cemetery site. Awesome! Somewhere up there I have cousins also, names are Sommerfeldt, Schulz/Schultz, Toth. Problem is the names get spelled different ways over the years. Have not found them on Find A Grave yet. Maybe eventually another avid photographer will post them. Canada is a BIG place, and winters get long.

You have a memorial at this Churchyard Cemetery that is only marked "johnston" Can you supply any more info? I found a marker there for a Johnston that is not listed. He was born in Scotland. I was wondering if this is the same person.

Mary Jane Leatherdale McKinlay
The picture of a tombstone that you put up on her memorial is actually a pic of her mother, Mary Jane Dale Leatherdale's stone. Mary Jane Dale Leatherdale was the wife of Luke Leatherdale as stated on the stone Please remove the photo from Mary Jane Leatherdale McKinlay's memorial.
