Thank you so very much for traipsing through the different cemeteries for the Barnes family headstones. The photos have been a great help to me. One small problem is that most of the photos are sideways. I was able to crink my neck to read the information but still thought you might want to know. Many thanks.

The marker still is horizontal, but now the top of the stone is on the right side of the image and the bottom of the left.

On both my desktop and laptop, Stephen's vertical stone is horizontal, with the top of the marker on left side of image and bottom on the right.

FYI: Stephen's marker [Memorial #84534827] seems to have tipped over onto its side -- on his memorial page. Can this be fixed or is it some strange F-A-G program glitch?

Unless my eyes are failing, when I clicked the pix to its full-size, image-only view, the stone was standing.

Susannah Wade Mayhew was my 6th great grandmother, on my grandmother's side of the family. May I use the photo you have placed on the above Find A Grave memorial? Should you have additional information/photos, may I place them into my trees also? Thank you so very much. Have a good day.

Thank you for the pictures of the stones. When you see them it makes the people more than names on a paper. I was wondering if you also entered the information on the memorials? I am looking for anything that will document these families together. When I found all this information about the Walker family I felt as though I had hit a gold mine. I would be so grateful for any documentation.

Wow! Lots of great pictures!
What a treat to find that you've shot stones for so many of my ancestors, the Halls and Culvers. Thanks you for taking time to do this.

Thank you so much for trying! Can you tell me if you think there are more than the 13 graves listed on Find A Grave? Bummer that out of the 13 people listed only she and one other don't have pictures. I appreciate your efforts!

Hello I received a message about some children linked to this entry. I did not make those links. I did not add those memorials so have no control over what other people do on their own entries. Perhaps you should contact the contributor who added those to see what occurred? I agree someone made an error here, but it wasn't me! :-)

Thank you!
Thanks, Janglo, for posting your photo of Nehemiah Potter! It's very kind of you to do that. The writing on the grave stone is a bit old and hard to read at the bottom - it looks like it's a quote about life? If you are able to see/translate it better from your original photo, would you mind messaging me? It's wonderful of you to take this photo - thank you very much.

Walkers in Sand Hill Cemetery
Thank you so much for providing these wonderful photos.

When I send you a SAC, I am suggesting that you actually use the information to complete the memorial , for example putting the birth info into your memorial rather than in the bio section.

I understand if you are wanting to verify it first, before updating the memorial, because that is what I do as well.

RE: Robert Henry Walker
Hi Jan! You have him as "R Henry" per the stone. I was just letting you know his full name.

RE: George Walker
Re your message regarding George G Walker

I am misunderstanding your reply perhaps? This stone is in the same plot, number as wife Sarah and daughter Mercy M, and it definitely says 1861 and not 1867. I am aware it says July 29th, I merely gave you another transcription that says he death date was on the 19th available at LDS?

In the Original RI cemeteries databases, of which I have a copy of all the Mattesons and Mathewsons from the year 2000 (before people began changing it), James Newell Arnold noted whether the stone used a burial date rather than an actual death date. He usually cross-referenced with plenty of other documentation. I did not keep this original info for the Walkers as they were in-laws.

For some reason, when "newer" people started maintaining and updating the RI databases and a "re-verification" process, if a 100+-year=old cemetery had been neglected, or moved for "progress" (building and roads), they are now saying it is "lost" or "not found", when I am sure that when Newell did it, it was definitely there.

It has been transcribed by James Newell Arnold, in the original "Old" Rockland cemetery, SC050 before they all were moved to the "New" Rockland Cemetery in the early 1900's for the reservoir.

Additionally, it has been re-transcribed in SC150 New Rockland, by two more parties, AKW and PWB.
