Hardy Dean Gillespie
 | RE: Russell Dean's Family Cousin!
I am Hardy Dean Gillespie, the son of Russell Hardy Dean Gillespie, son of Helen Leslie Dean, daughter of Russell Hardy Dean, brother of your ancestor, Robert Aaron Dean.
Yes. I have other photos of the Dean and Myers (Mary Gray Myers became Mrs. Russell Hardy Dean) family from what they referred to as the 'Dean family album'. Will share those of interest. Added one of your ancestor at Find a Grave this morning. Sorry for the damage that the years had done to his photo. You might be able to improve it with a photoshop type software, but I never risk cleaning original prints. Thought it risky enough just taking it out of the album to scan it.
My interest in genealogy ebbs and flows. Have a bunch of information that may be of interest to you, but I haven't done much with it lately so it may take me a while to get fully immersed in it again. Please bear with me if your interest is on top of the wave as mine has been on the bottom of late.
Hardy

 | RE: Maj. Dean You should add the marker transcription for Maj. Dean on the memorial. That way anyone doing a search will have a greater chance of finding information about him and the units he served with.

 | RE: Lurlene & Herman Carothers We aren't related. I just happened to see the photo request a few days ago and the cemetery is not far from where we live. I have several relatives there myself so took the opportunity to visit them as well.

 | RE: Marker Photo Lynn, I'm not sure...I usually take several hundred with each trip to the cemetery; if I don't have it in this batch, rest assured, I WILL get it for you! Thanks for allowing me to put Mr. Haywood's pix on his site. Take care, MarthaAdded by Martha Hall Wise McElroy on Nov 13, 2012 11:46 AM | |

 | RE: Tyro Cemetery I started adding the entries for Tyro Cemetery that are listed in the Footprints in Time book. I'm not finished, but I believe I have added all Durleys and Waldrips that were transcribed at the time this book was compiled in the late 70's/early 80's.

 | RE: Tyro Cemetery I looked at the Footprints in Time book that I have, and I haven't entered any of the Tyro burials. If you have specific name information, I could look to see if they are there, and I will add those records. Over the winter I plan to add many more records from this book.

 | RE: Tyro Cemetery I haven't actually walked this cemetery. I have a book listing graves that was compiled in the late 70's/early 80's. I don't know if I have gone through the book for this cemetery yet. I will check on it tonight and let you know.
I graduated from high school with Todd Durley, who I'm certain is related to you.
