Re: Stinson Reed
Hi Shirley- I am so sorry that it took me this long to get back to you. Spring/Summer is in full bloom and it seems that my non-work days are spent doing yard work. I am also so happy that you contracted me! I have made Memorials for distant relatives in hopes that someone like you (closer in relation than I) would find them. It's become an obsession with me. To answer your questions: All my research has been done in ancestry.com with the aid of familysearch.org, and older newspapers. I've also emailed cemeteries to verify interments. I am related to Stinson thru his sister Clarinda "Clara", who married my 5th cousin 4x's removed Private Samuel S. Jewett, which was a huge find for me.
I did typically do not mention children in Memorials, if I'm not sure who is still living and who had passed on. I like to err on the side of caution and not put personal information of people still living out there. I also could not confirm that Perry was interred in Woodlawn as well. I was pretty sure based on my research. When you have a chance you should create a Memorial on him in Find A Grave since you know for sure he is interred there. I'm not sure if you are on ancestry.com, but I'm more than happy to give you access to my tree so you can see what I have on Stinson's siblings. The only one that I wasn't able to find that much info on was Columbus Christopher Reed (or vice-versa on the first and middle names since I've seen it in records both ways).
You are a much closer relative to Stinson and Emma and the rest of the family then I m, so if you would like to maintain any of their Memorials, I am more than happy to transfer them to you. Just send me a request thru the edit tab. If it is okay with you'd I'd like to maintain Clarinda's still.
I look forward to hearing from you! Hope your Saturday is going well.
