I have always loved research and, after the death of my parents, I inherited old photos, from the 1800's and earlier and my 3rd great-grandmother's daily diary from 1870, that I wanted to identify and try to connect to my parents. My mom had been sending my sisters and I old photos throughout the years with information on them, so I was bitten with the research bug very early.

The Memorials that I manage are my family members, some directly and some indirectly. And thanks to wonderful photo volunteers, there are photos attached to the majority of the Memorials. I live in a semi-small community with a few local cemeteries and any photos that I have personally taken (which is currently two for reasons noted below), please feel free to use them.

I have met so many wonderful FindAGrave volunteers that are so dedicated to putting information out there for family members to find. I have learned, and continue to learn, so much from each of them.

FindAGrave truly has a great community of volunteers each of whom has their own uniqueness: some are good at researching a persons' history for inclusion in their Memorial; some are great at transcribing cemeteries for family members to find; some are very skilled at the art of photography (which I truly am not!!); and all are tireless in their efforts to ensure that family members are connected to one another. As I've learned from these wonderful volunteers, that's what makes a good team, individuals bringing their strengths to the table for a common goal.
