Arteriosclerosis
Hardening of the arteries, also called atherosclerosis, is a common disorder. It occurs when fat, cholesterol, and other substances build up in the walls of arteries and form hard structures called plaques.

Over time, these plaques can block the arteries and cause symptoms and problems throughout the body.

March 1941 - Saginaw News
In celebration of their sixtieth wedding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Davis will be honored at a family reunion Monday in their farm home in East Kochville Township, Saginaw County.

Mr. Davis, who will be 87 years old in August, was born near where he now lives.

He is still active and able to handle a team of horses and do all the chores himself, according to a daughter, Mrs. Maxwell J. Smith of 17406 Beaverland of Detroit.

"Dad can recall when the countryside was just like a wilderness," Mrs. Smith says. "He tells of when bear, deer, coyotes and other wild animals would often come near the house."

The Davis's have nine children, most of whom live in Michigan. Two other daughters, Mrs. Carroll Guthridge and Mrs. Ernest Gillman, live in Detroit. Ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous friends are also expected to be present for the occasion.

Joan Wright Romero's notes on 1/4/2012:
Mrs. Maxwell J. Smith is Marcella E. Davis
Mrs. Carroll Guthridge is Stella Mae Davis
Mrs. Ernest Gillman is Nellie Davis
Mary A. Bashelier is Mary A. Davis-who married Charles C. Bashelier, in obit her last name was spelled incorrectly

Mabel Freck
Dave, I think I was able to fill in some additional information by doing a search on Ancestry.com. Please let me know if I can try to find anything else. I know Mabel's obituary states that she is a native of Piqua County, but researching her parents, it is actually Pickaway. Thanks.
