|yentnawildrose||Love the new photo|
I was at Mt. Olivet yesterday and meant to take the same photo you did, but didn't. I'm glad you submitted it and that it is the new main photo for the cemetery.

|Barbara Z.||RE: Carr|
Steve, I received this response from findagrave when I changed the bio to a famous person.....can you help with the rewrite?
Subject: Find A Grave: Leland Carr
Thank you very much for submitting a memorial to Find A Grave. Unfortunately, your memorial for Leland Carr has not been approved because the bio that you submitted does not follow the Find A Grave standards for famous biographies. We have put together a 'bio guidelines' page that details the type of bio we strive for. While your bio does not necessarily need to be in perfect accordance with our guidelines, we encourage you to take a look at what our ideal bio would be. You can view our guidelines by following the link below:
Find A Grave - Millions of Cemetery Records and Online ...
Famous Bio Guidelines: Before submitting a Famous Biography to Find A Grave, please review the following suggestions which describe the style and standards we strive ...
If you'd like, you can edit the existing bio and resubmit it for approval. To do so, make sure you are logged in, then follow the link below. This will take you directly to the edit page for Leland Carr:

Thank you for bringing it to my attention about making his memorial Famous, something I've never done before. It has been revised.
If you wish, I can transfer all of the Carr memorials to you. I am related through the Lindow name but I am willing. Please advise.
And thank you for the obituary for Leland Carr Jr.

|john croker||Charles and Lilah Mallay|
Well I think you could look at the burial records on find a grave for Charles and Lilah Mallay you would need to see near the bottom of the memorial the plot block lot facts
Charles Alva Mallay
Plot: BlockC, Lot075, Space2, SpotID3513
Lilah E. N. Mason Mallay
Plot: BlockC, Lot075, Space1 SpotID3512
based on the above data it would suggest they are indeed buried next to one another.
I would also suggest that Charles did not know the correct maiden name of Lilah.
I really think her maiden name would be Leeson.
I think her father is named
U.S., World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918
Name: Charles Randolph Leeson
County: Presque Isle
Birth Date: 3 April 1874
Let me know what you think.

|Vernon W. Goodrich||McKee|
I took care of the Clifford B. McKee entry. I have no idea how this happened. Once I received a notice from someone in NY that some photos ended up on a wrong gravesite there. I'd never even heard of the cemetery.
Thanks for drawing my attention to this matter.

|Gravehound Club||The Campbell Children|
We see that you have blocked pictures of grave stones for 2 of the 3 Campbell children who were killed in an automobile accident. Please, help bring this family together by allowing their grave stone pictures to be in their memorial. Thank you for helping us keep the family together.

|Amy Sellers Schlichter||Sellers/Vandolsen|
I am Nellie Vandolsen's great granddaughter. My Grandfather is Russell, and my father is Kenneth.
I am having a hard time finding Nellie's parents. Would you happen to have information on them? I know that their names are Jenny Martin and Calvin Vandolsen but that's all I can find.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for trying to bring Lilah together with the rest of her family. The only information we have for her, is all we have right now. Hopefully, someone will come forward with more vital information regarding Lilah and/or her family.

|David Neller||-Delmar Andrew Brewer|
Hello again Steve
Many thanks for sending the grave location edit for Delmar Andrew Brewer, which I have now actioned, as well as for the grave marker photos for Delmar and Helen Margaret Mutz Brewer.
I have transferred his Find A Grave memorial page to your care in order to keep all the MUTZ pages together and to allow for you to record any changes to the condition of the grave easier.

No need at all for apologies or explaination. One of the nice things about family history research is that this years novice can, and often does, become next years teacher. Just take your time with your memorials and let me know if I can be of help.You can contact me at DaveNeller@aol.com if you would prefer to keep things more private.
You have already understood the most fundamental lesson in that we are all creating public records on Find A Grave which others may base their family trees on and therefore need to be as accurate as possible. That said, it is a most fasinating hobby which can give us the chance to view an aspect of history by looking at individual lives of struggle and family achievement.
Right now I am busy researching the 337 names on our WW1 War Memorial but as soon as I have free time I shall try to answer your earlier question about Walter Neller and the other Michigan Neller
Till then, Good Luck and best regards,

|David Neller||Mutz Memorials|
Hello again Steve
I have passed on my MUTZ Find A Grave memorials to you as requested. Please let me know if I have missed any members of your family group and I shall add them. You are in a much better position to maintain and add information than I am over here in England.
My regret is that a certain individual, who in 6 years, 9 months, 10 days has only found time to create 23 memorials of her own - but has managed to half-cover 93,000 memorials created by other people with long tokens and misleading messages suggesting that she is a relative or friend of those named, has also found her way onto your MUTZ memorials. Perhaps you can add a virtual flower to these pages and get your family members to do the same so that her 'tokens' will be knocked off the pages!!
Good luck and best regards,

Did you try clicking on the picture? That SHOULD bring up a page with all the photos on it. Then, click on one of your tombstone pictures and at the top it SHOULD ask you if you want to delete that photo. Helen

Thanks so much for the grave photo and photo of the plaque. I was writing a tribute for him when I found one existed. So happy to learn he was moved to Harbor Springs. I cried when I read the story, but your photo made it seem like all turned out well. Happy holidays.
