Timothy Hess
Spouse of Irma L. Lewis
Just to let you know, the asterick beside the name of Irma's spouse's name, Duane Clinton Place, is due to the fact that this was entered by someone else on their memorial. It was not entered by me. You may wish to contact them to have them make that correction.

Ian Macaulay
hi and help
Can you please check your entry for Find A Grave Memorial# 118359016. I have been told that it is a duplication of Find A Grave Memorial# 119780431.
Both are yours. There is now a Photo on the latter. If you could let me know, I will update the family files to match.

Thank you for this and the entries, very much appreciated

RE: Thank you
Hi Wanda,
Nice to hear from you. I am trying to locate the picture you requested. Things have been misplaced since we moved a few years ago, but know it's still in our possession. Have also asked other family members for a copy. Will share as soon as I find one.
Be blessed, PK Hunt :-)

MaryAnn Sall
Shipshock at St.Ann Cemetery
I noticed that you manage the memorial for Andrew Shipshock ( 109038079). I am trying to find the graves for his parents and I believe they died in Barron County, WI, too. His father was Thomas J. Shipshock , born 23 Dec 1879, Poland, died 15 Aug 1966, Barron Co., WI. His mother was Martha Skierka Shipshock, born 25 April 1886, Danzig, Prussia, died unknown. A Martha Shipshock died in Chicago in 1965 but I do not think she is the right one. Any help you can give me would be most appreciated.

Thank you, MaryAnn Sall

you are doing a fantastic job for Find a grave. I love the statement your younger sister made and I hope she now believes that some of us still do love those people. May we never tire of Genealogy.

Hello, i forgot to let you know that his headstone was not in the Gettysburg Cemetery, but just a few miles down in the Lebanon Cemetery. I had so many to input that i forgot to let you know a head of time. Sorry. But now you can correct that status.

RE: Gish
My Great Aunt joined LDS and sent them extensive information from papers left to her in her families records. My father got interested in 1977, about 3 years after my Aunt joined the Mormons. Dad insisted that he needed at least two documented citations before he would enter things in out family tree. Only 25% of what he received from Aunt Della was verifiable by Dad standards. He would only use LDS data if he had 2 other citations verifying it. Mind you, the information can be useful in pointing to a line of study that needs to be checked out. He also received a request for information about his father's parents and their descendants from Roy Dean Barnard of VA. Dad said he sent only about his father and two brothers who served together in the Spanish/American War. He had more but would only send it after he received something from Mr. Barnard. About 6 weeks later, an envelop with about 300 single spaced pages arrived. We think there are 8000 names. There are detailed accounts of the migrations of 12 families. There are, however, no source citations. I've taken about 500 names, so far, from this book. In the 30 years or so, I've never found a problem. I use this book as secondary data but I only need one other source to use it. My 8 times grandfather is Col. George Eskridge. He was the guardian to Mary Ball. In 1731 she married Augustine Washington at Sandy Point Plantation. This was 12000 acres of Tobacco and Slaves owned by Col George. In 1732, it is said that Mary named her first born after her beloved guardian. There is a diary entry dated then that places the First President of the United States, at his Christening, in the arms of Col. George Eskridge.

I don't know if you use a service to hold your family tree. I use My Heritage, is too expensive for me. They have an off line program, called Family Tree Builder, that has tools that can root out inconsistencies. I've found 17 different things it checks for (that I've seen so far, there could be more). Things like: Mother born after Son. Person alive at 275 years old. Husband 65 years older than wife. I've been on sites that had a woman with 25 children, no twins, and only lived 30 years. I found one site where Henry VIII had 345 members of his immediate family. That's parents, wives and children only. Henry VIII had six wives and 3 children by them. One, Henry Fitzroy, by Lady Blount that he acknowledged. Now Brigham Young has links to 81 people in his immediate family, but he had almost 30 wives and almost 60 kids.(Find a 1137, 1 1/2 screens of Bio and 2 1/2 screens of Family Links.) I'm talkin' a big family.

Good luck in your pursuit of the 60,000,000,000 piece jigsaw puzzle we call Genealogy.

RE: Thank you
The Find A Grave email system has had issues in the past with duplicate emails being sent out for one correction, perhaps those problems are continuing. I sent you exactly 20 deletion requests, all in the morning. I was not online last night and did not send you anything at that time. As the guidelines state, each contributor is allowed to sent 20 edit requests to another contributor per week and then that contributor is allowed 30 days to make the requested changes. I requested that a copy of each email I sent also be sent to myself and I only received 20 emails. I am sorry you have received extra emails. This is in no way a reflection on you, but in nearly every past instance where a contributor has told me they would delete their duplicates later they have failed to follow through. For this reason, I prefer to have a "paper trail," as it were.
