Dear Shirley,
Thank you so much for leaving a memorial candle in remembrance of Jimmy. I was born 4 months after he died in the battlefield outside Caan. His parents, Hilda & Bill adopted me and I grew up in a loving home. I have made it my mission to honour them by visiting the grave of their only beloved son in France on three occasions & I sincerely appreciate your recognition of his service to his country and my parents loss.
Warm regards, Diane Roberts (Western Australia)

Dear Shirley,

Your kindness and thoughtfulness in remembering Paul will always be deeply appreciated by his family.

Paul was from the same town as Nursing Sister Agnes Wilkie and your remembrance of her also gladdens our hearts.

Thank you, dear lady, for your generosity to the family of Robert Kinch and all the other fallen soldiers whose markers you've contributed. This spirit is one of the many things I love about FG.

Memorial# 56275744 photo
Dear Shirley,
I am hoping you do not mind that I took the liberty of putting your marker photo of Robert Guy Kinch Memorial# 56275744 on his ancestry page with your credit. I should have asked you first but I was so thrilled to find it. I will remove it if you prefer and hope I haven't offended you. The soldier was my cousin's uncle.
At any rate, thank you very much for taking and posting your excellent photo.

RE: Fred Forster
Frederick Forster was my great Uncle, also his son was a Frederick Forster (moved to Canada) too. Frank (Francis) moved to Canada and passed away quite young and painfully unfortunately.
I have quite a bit of info and pics of the Forster family, not much on Fredericks though. I have been in contact with his descendants though.
Reach me at if you are interested in more info or can share any with me.
My Mum is the last of the line living.
