RE: Johanna O'Leary O'Connell
Hi Sue,
Thanks for contacting me. I was "killing time" when I was in Hannibal and went over to St. Mary's/Holy Family cemetery one day and just started taking photos. I have Irish heritage at Hannibal too and am fascinated by the old markers. I made memorials for any markers I took that didn't already have one. If you would like I can transfer this to you or if you want me to have the upkeep I'd be glad to add anything you would like. Do you have place of birth or birth date? Death place? I took a photo of your Grandma's marker too just hadn't got all my photos uploaded. Was your Grandma Katherine's maiden name O'Connell? I'll add that when I make the memorial. Or if you want to make one then I'll just add the photo I took.

My Hannibal Irish names are Roach and Riley just in case we find out we are cousins or something. :)

Valkyrie
photo requests - Culp stones
On the photo request page for the cemetery, click on 'fulfill' beside the request. Then it will ask you to upload the photo for Blanch's stone.
To add photos to the other memorials you photographed, go to their individual memorial pages and click 'upload a photo'
Thank you so much for taking the photos, it is very much appreciated!!

RE: Jennie Victoria Henderson
Hello Sue - My photo postings are simply to help my sister [her name is Pat Simmons & we consider ourselves a 'genealogy tag-team']; she is the person who lists our memorials. We both live in OK; however, she did take these Thornton Cemetery pics you see posted on a research trip to MO. I contacted her regarding your message & she told me what you need to do in order to try to get a photo of your ggranmother's headstone. Go to the posted memorial of your ggrandmother, click on 'request a photo' & request will go to any photo volunteers in that area. Usually one of those volunteers will take & post the photo. Sometimes it takes a while. If you have other people you want photos of in this cemetery you will need to first post memorials & make your request for all of them at the same time. Hope this helps you out. M. Bishop

Sue: Thanks for the wonderful words. However, I didn't enter this memorial. Pat Thomas is a wonderful person on this website and would probably transfer the memorial to you if you ask. Just use the "Edit" button and "Suggest a correction or provide additional information" and always tell the person your ID number from your bio page in case they transfer the memorial to you.

Pat has entered many, many memorials and is a great resource for Douglas County history.

Good luck and I'm very glad you've found your great-grandmother's burial place.
