RE: Miller?
Hi Myra,
I just checked my VanWey tree. I have Isaac VanWey (1801-1881) married Jane Dunlap (1803-1892).
They had children: William, Ullem, James, Margaret, Martha, Isaac, Thomas Mills, John, and Robert.
Thomas Mills VanWey 1841-1916)married Mary Ann Miller (1844-1923.
They had children: Isaac Newton, Rebecca J., Amanda Belle, Frederick Henderson, John Thomas, Ida May, Robert William, MIllie, Jesse Dennis, and Catherine G.
These VanWey's and Mary Miller all lived in Marietta, Washington County, Ohio.
Is this also your line of MIller and VanWey's?

RE: Miller?
Hi Myra,
I just checked my trees. The only Sarah I have is Sara Jane Barnhart Born 1851 and married Robert VanWey, he was born 1848. I have no Sarah Dunlap. also, I have no Frances Ellen Miller or Frederick Miller in my tree. If I find them along my search, I will let you know. Most of my Miller's went to Ohio and Marshall County West virginia upon arriving in the States.

RE: Helen Ann Cranston Burley

No, that bio came from an unattributed obit indexed online.

If you look at the 1940 Census document image, it's clear that "Pranata" is a transcription error. The Census taker wrote "Cranston" reasonably legibly.

Hope that helps!

Ron Mac
re: Joseph Gilchrist Quantrill Raider
Hello. The info on his death was taken from the book Branded as Rebels. William Gregg, a fellow guerrilla had made a claim he died about April 12 1862 at the Lowe house. I do a lot of research on the Quantrill men and haven't seen much on Joseph. He's one of the first guerrillas I found and entered on findagrave. Would be happy to add any additional info you have on him. Ron

RE: Your picture
I added the photo as you suggest, but there is no death date on it (nor on his Find a Grave record). Let me know when his death date is added to the headstone and I'll try to take another picture.

Alice Savina Shato
Nice to hear from you. All I know about the death of Alice Savina Shato Allmon is that she died in a house fire in a place called Barcus Hollow, this bit of info picked up, without verification, from a very old Ancestry tree from 2003: Fones, Carpenters, Gillespies, Braggs, etc.
Entries: 6164 Updated: Fri Sep 19 20:49:04 2003 Contact: Joellen Fone Home Page: Our GenCircles Site

This is the best I can do. Hope this helps. Perhaps the above Joellen Fone can be contacted. Looks like she has a Gen Circles site.

Best, Barry

RE: Thank you thank you thank you!
I took that picture about 20 years ago with a camera that took 110 film. The next time I get to Lakeside I'll take a better picture and post it.

RE: John Douglas Allmon & Addie Lewis Mystery
Myra, I checked Addia Lewis Allmon Wright's death certificate and it states her last name as Wright. Have no explanation why her headstone says Allmon. Maybe Isaac wanted her 1st husband's name as she was only married to George Wright for 4 years. George Wright's death certificate list his son Walter Wright as the informant. Probably will never know why!

RE: The mom I mentioned
OK! Glendora is my ex-husbands mother. I am still friends with them. I am doing a tree for the family for Christmas. Are you related to them? I will double check with them and get your answers if I can. Glendora has dementia and does not remember so well sometimes. That maybe clear as a bell for her! lol! Do you do If so, I can give you a guest pass to look around. Brenda

Transfer of Ethel Arnott.

I am not related to Ethel Arnott, and are therefore happy to transfer this memorial to you. I did make the change that you suggested in the correction email before making the transfer.
