RE: Paul and Eva McCann
You are welcome! Both cemeteries are working on updating their lists during the winter so we may have a clear answer by spring!

RE: Jones, Bethel C., Oak Hill, Ohio
Thank you for the prompt reply.

The headstone is Owen and Hannah Hopkins. Other headstones nearby are William and Hopkin which I assume may be Ann's brothers. Yes, I noticed Owen is listed as Ann's father.

I have a list of Jones children and would be happy to share with you and also, my Grandmother's information. I am not a computer wiz so will have to find out how to send to you -- any ideas are welcome.

Jones, Bethel C., Oak Hill, Ohio
I am just beginning in earnest on Daniel D. Jones and Ann D. Hopkins Jones genealogy. I have visited Bethel and noticed Hopkins buried close to Daniel and Ann. Are these Hopkins related to Ann.

How am I related: I am the granddaughter of Elizabeth D., daughter of Ann and Daniel.

Elizabeth D. Jones Morgan
Anna Corinne Morgan Evans
Lou Ann Evans Thomas

Any information would be appreciated.

RE: Myrtle Swayzee
Myrtle was in the very last row of the cemetery in the southeast corner of the cemetery by 6th street. That area seemed to be made up of "odds and ends" single markers. I did not see those names, but if you put in an official request with a full name, I will look for them.

I am wondering if there could be a mix up in the parents. I have been researching Peter Call 127684208 and his spouse Barbara Ann Bowers Call 127684189 and they had children with those names and close birth dates. Could it be?

I am not a relative, was assisting someone else with their research.

If you are referring to William John to William Spencer, I have seen the William J. & William John on various records, but the only place have come across William Spencer is in family trees.

RE: Lewis Rogers
Michael I based it on his birth record - but just found his death certificate and his name is listed as Lou. Maybe transcription on birth record was incorrect and should have been Louis?

RE: Joslin Family
Did I miss this? Did I ever get back with you? I have been looking at the Joslin/Phillips folks again.

Elsie Dunlap
Elsie does not have a headstone. The two headstones (from the back) are the Meier's (Christopher and Louisa)

RE: Albert Florea
You're quite welcome! Sorry it isn't oriented correctly - I was on my iPhone. I can fix that. And yes, the other side is for Sylvia Florea - I do have a photo of the whole stone, so I will upload that too.

I'm glad I was able to help! We don't live in this area, but we just happened to be passing through that way on a road trip and visited some cemeteries. :)

The "Pride of Ohio" only lists the year the children were admitted to the home. No other information regarding the Vollmer children.

Re: Mary Vollmer
I have one source of information regarding Mary. "The Pride of Ohio" was a book written and published in 1963 about the history of the Ohio Soldiers and Sailors Orphans Home. According to the book Mary along with her sister Kate and brother Mike were admitted to the Home in 1905.

Glad I could help Michael. Her bio has been added to her memorial. By the way my wife attended the same orphanage for nearly 13 years. A lot of people have a bad image of orphanages, but rest assured it was a wonderful place.
