I have a Anthony James Asher Crockett in my family line. Was he married to a Eliza J. K. Adkins?

Thank you for trying to get the photos. Is there not a College Hill Cemetery now? Do you know where they might have moved those buried there to? Again, thank you for the extra effort you did! Be careful going on private property ... could be dangerous. Sincerely, Sharon

|Paul Clary||James Wilson at Dock's Creek Cemetery|
Hello again Kathy,
This is to follow up on my previous note concerning the James Wilson memorial that I had created at Dock's Creek Cemetery in Wayne County, WV. I visited the cemetery yesterday to clarify information about my previous postings. Unfortunately, I had made a mistake in creating this memorial because there is no marker for that James Wilson, so I don't know whether he is buried at Dock's Creek or not. However, there IS a marker for Emerretta Wilson, the WIFE of James Wilson (1823 - 1892). Her memorial number is 76035187. I have updated her memorial and posted pictures. I deleted the memorial for James Wilson, since I have no information about him. Please accept my apologies for the confusion my error has caused. :).

|Paul Clary||RE: James Wilson|
Information for this James Wilson is part of a survey I did of markers in Dock's Creek Cemetery a couple years ago. I had quickly snapped photos of all the markers in the cemetery and then used info from the markers to create a database of over 3000 entries. After reviewing those photos to assist with your request, unfortunately I cannot come to a conclusion about the stone. From what I can tell, it appears to indicate that it might be the WIFE of a James Wilson. I will be unable to visit the grave for a while, but when I can get an opportunity to do so I will try to clarify my previous work. I'm a little concerned that I might have inadvertently created an invalid memorial. I will flag your original email to remind me to check on it.
Thank you for your patience.

|Marigrace||RE: Samuel Crowder bro John|
James Alexander Crowder and Amanda Armentrout Crowder are buried in the Melton Cemetery, along with Samuel Crowder and both of his Emmas. Beside them is my Grandmother Zella Crowder Smith and my Grandfather William Ashby Smith. It is located on the hill behind where Mount Pleasant Baptist Church once was in Elkview, WV. I'll try to find out where John and Mary Cynthia (Scott) Crowder are buried. It isn't at the Melton (Crowder) Cemetery at Elkview though. I know my Dad had told me a long time ago that he remembered them. Dad has been gone for 11 years now. I'll send a Facebook message to my Aunt Jean's daughter and have her ask if she knows where they are laid to rest. Jean is in her 80's and lives in Florida, so she may know. I'll get back with you as soon as I find out.

Thank you for the wonderful photo. Everybody on Ancestry.com thought his middle name was Benjamin because he only used "B" or "Ben". Thanks for the clarification.

Yes, I would love a photo of Edward Benett Moses. He was Augusta's husband. Thank you for the extra information. I don't yet know who the rest of the people on the list were.

Thank you for both the photos of Augusta's grave, especially the close up.
May I have your permission to put a copy of the photo on my Ancestry.com tree? If OK, I always list photo credit.

If you know where the Elkview Middle School is you are almost there. Go past the school towards Clendenin about 2 maybe 3 "city blocks". Will pass Mt. Pleasant Church on right side and you will see gas station right after. Slow down, you will make a left turn right across from the station. The cemetery is up on hill.
As for John C. Crowder. His death certificate says he was buried at the Crowder Cemetery in Sissonville, Poca area. Wonder if it is not the same as your Covey Cemetery? and he is in an unmarked grave? Sorry I cannot be of any more help with him.

Do you know anything about the Elkview area?
If you do, then you should know where the Maynor's Market is (it is now a 7-11 I think) right above Elkview Middle School. Right across the road from the market you will see 2 or 3 houses. The house on the left will have a road just to the right of it going up on the hill. That is the Melton Cemetery. You might have to check with the people that live there to go through the gate, not sure about that but I would check first to be nice.
As for Little Sandy Cemetery, not sure about it at all. Who is there? Maybe I can look up someone connected to them and figure it out.
