RE: Nancy Ingram
Hi Dale, thank you for contacting me. You're the first one from the Nancy Ingram Newell line that I've spoken to except for Jim Killough though I'm not exactly sure where he fits into the line. Anyway, I descend from Nancy's brother, William David Inghram. I'm not sure why some of them put the 'h' in the surname and some didn't.

Nancy lived near Baldwyn when she was young but it looks like she was born in Tennessee. I don't have much more than census records to go off of but here's what they look like.

Does the book happen to mention any other of the Ingram names? They have been very difficult to find anything on so any info would be very welcome. Thanks!

RE: Arthur L Porter
The Porters in WV are a line of my relatives. My research shows that Arthur Lee Porter was the son of Ervin "Irvin" Porter 1882-1963 and Betty Wiley Porter 1888-1948. His grandfather was John Porter 1848-1934 and Mary Eplin Porter 1854-1910.

I show that Arthur L. Porter was born in Logan, WV and died in Franklin County, WV. Are you a direct line from Arthur L. Porter? If you are, I am having trouble finding out who he married on September 25, 1951 per the Alabama records. It doesn't list the wife's name.

Thanks for any information and if I can help any further, please let me know.

Dale,

I have transferred them all to you. I do have photographs of their headstones on my home computer. I will try to get online tonight and add them to the memorial pages.
