I took another photo of Fay's headstone. I enhanced it some, and the lighting was better, so it was easier to read. Lane

Prise / Price

Sorry, a little ahead of myself. This area was obviously the Price family plot. Considering the date of death and the location of the Prise stone, it simply made sense. Somewhere along the line, PRISE is how the name was spelled and then it was changed.

Since they are interred in that mausoleum this is how the marker is identified. Yes you may use it for genealogical purposes.

Hi, I just received your request, I live only 1 mile from the Rose Hill Cemetery and will see if i can find her headstone in that cemetery. I've taken most of the pic there but sure i've missed some. Do you know when she was born and died.
Also I took photos of all the headstones in Forrest Haven Cemetery, I don't remember all the names but they are listed 20 of them, I took those photos also, it is a long and difficult hike back into there. It wouldn't hurt if you remind me toward spring about looking for her headstone in Rose Hill Cemetery. Feel free to write whenever. Sharon gensearchfamily@gmail.com

Hello again...You are in luck, wonder no more. I found them in Monticello's Riverside Cemetery which happened to have it's interments listed in an online spreadsheet. There is CW, Betsey, Bessie, Jesse, and Minnie all in the same plot there. I also added Orrin C. and Myrtle Chase who are buried nearby. They were the only 2 other interments in the cemetery with the same family name. The burials dates range from CW in 1899 to Myrtle in 1908. You can see them all by going to Find A Grave and typing in the family name and then looking under cemetery in US, MN, Wright County.

RE: Memorial #100737392
Hello! I am guessing that Betsy Chase is not buried here. I normally do the family in any plot so feel sure I would have done so here as well if there had been another stone with the same family name next to the veteran. I looked in the MHS online database and there are 2 death certificates listed for a Charles Chase with no middle name. If one of them is your Charles Chase the most likely one of the 2 died in Hennepin County in Aug 1921. I also looked in Lakewood Cemetery's online db and there is no one named Betsy Chase buried there either. I did however find Charles W. Chase who died in January 19,1938 in Los Angeles and was interred severa days later at Lakewood in Minneapolis. It is also good to keep in mind that many of the soldiers who are buried in these plots required some type of care and died at the Minneapolis Veteran's Hospital and Home after returning from a war. I don't think this is much help but that's as much as I am able to give you. Good luck finding your relative.

Yes, unfortunately it is on my husbands camera, because it was very degraded and difficult to shoot to obtain legible detail. Tomorrow I will get it posted. Hers had been replaced, as noted by the "R" and the quite new marker. I think someone has moved her marker to a less traveled location.
