RE: Martha Rogers Photo
http://www.concordia-memories.org/TombstoneInscriptions.html

Higginsville Cem. is in Vol. 6, these all are the documented cemetries in Lafayatte County, MO.

There is a box at the top where you can type in a search term and it will search the pdf file for you although its not 100% accurate. Let me know if you find anyone's memorial you need a photo of. Bill

George Rogers
Regarding George Rogers memorial #79604084. could it be George Hall 1847-1931? There is a George Rogers in the Cemetery but the dates are way off. Bill

Annie K D Larsen Nielsen

I am a great great grandson of Annie K D Larsen, also known as Annie K D Rasmussen and was wondering if you know any of her history. I have a short personal history saying she never knew her mother and was given to a Rasmussen family to raise. I am trying to find out more on the family who took her in, and what they knew about her mother. Thank you for anything you can share.

Very happy to have helped. I love having a reason to wander and look at the stones in a cemetery. Don't tell my husband he thinks that is weird (he,he).

Allen
The name Allen is very prevalent in this area. My first wife's maiden name was Allen and I always look out for the name. If you need any pictures please let me know.

RE: Caleb Carr
That cemetery isn't even known to the Town of Oswego. It's almost a mile into some wooded area off Rt 3 near Scriba. I made sure to take photos of ALL the Fox and Carr names that were there. Some markers were too badly faded to get anything from them, some I had to enhance to get part of the names. I hope this helps you in your heritage search!

Baby Weaver
Dora Weaver and baby boy Weaver were twins. Their father was my third great grandfather. This info comes from our family genealogy.

ALLEN, Alanson David
I deleted this duplicate memorial I somehow created! I remember the photo request for this name, but don't know how or why I created the memorial, so I'm glad you caught it. So sorry.

Jazzy
Corbett family
Hi Terrie

I am a direct descendent of Thomas Corbett and his 1st wife Elizabeth Bickley. Thomas' 2nd wife, Esther Wood, were the parents of Walter Corbett who married Jane Malkin.

I was thrilled to see all the information you have posted on Find-A-Grave regarding this family. Thank you so much for sharing!

Ann Louise Bachman
Here is your email to me:
Can you tell me where you got your information about Ann Louise Bachman's maiden name and father? My research shows tha her maiden name was Merritt and her father was Reuben Martin Merritt. She is also listed in the 1856 Utah census and 1860 US Federal Census with the last name Merritt.

I've finally had some time to look up your question.

There are 2 Benjamin Bachmans. Benjamin Bachman (1836-1895) FIRST married Anna Louisa Allen SECOND: Madeline Oakley

Benjamin and Anna had a SON -- Benjamin Bachman (1866-1943) --

he married Isabel Yardley Milner on May 1, 1890 (See: http://abish.byui.edu/specialCollections/westernStates/westernStatesRecordDetail.cfm?recordID=268549)

Records for Anna Allen:

Parents: Rufus Allen & Arsenith Ford Marriage: 4/20/1839 Adams, ILlinois (http://www.ilsos.gov/isavital/marriageSearch.do)

Provo city cemetery records: http://wino.provo.org:8890/$ (I also attached a pdf file of the burial showing her buried by Benjamin)
Also Listed in Pioneer Overland Trail: http://history.lds.org/overlandtravels/searchPage?lang=eng
Allen, Ann Louisa

Birth Date: 24 October 1844
Death Date: 15 January 1871

(NOTE: These are the same dates you show for "Lisa" Merritt --- The dates you show can't be from a census because it would NOT give a death date -- do you know where it came from. Something here is odd ---- Ann Louisa Allen above was only 6 when she crossed the plains, so that handcart account has to be her maiden name. It also matches the cemetery record.)

Family tree records are messed up with Benjamin dates and spouses. I can't see any documentation for your Lisa Merritt. I'd love to sort this out, but can't seem to see how the 2 are connected.

Terrie- I saw your photo request.
I expect to be back over there next May or June. IF it's not fulfilled, I'll take a look.
I always make a list of the people buried within the last 3 years without markers to see if one has been added.
Leave the request up, just in case someone else can fulfill it.

Merry Christmas,
Bill
