RE: rice field cemetery in tenn
They had 2 Rice cemeteries one in Alabama and one in Tennessee. The names and all the pictures i took of the real Rice cemetery were not in the one in Tennessee at the time but Find a Grave decided to combine the one in Alabama that does not exist with the one in Tennessee that is why they are duplicated now. I have tried to contact some of the people that had the ones in Alabama to ether add the data and pictures from the ones i did but no one replied. So i just left them.

Is it OK if I use your photos on my tree on Ancestry? I am happy to give you photo credit.

Smack Cemetery
How brave of you to attempt this cemetery. I don't know about the corn - however I do know that the first couple that braved that cemetery [that I know of] made an attempt only to be blocked by a Hay field. They had to wait until the haying season was over. It is a badly overrun neglected and also vandalized at one point. It is on someone's property but they were able to get permission without any problem. This was an older couple before I knew about findagrave or at least before findagrave became so popular. There are some photos @ Look close and you can actually see a person in the photos - the growth pretty much obscures them.

If you do decide to go back and brave this cemetery, please take photos of all the stones you can if you can. I think this cemetery is destined to totally go by the wayside.

Thanks for the contact. Marji

RE: Minda Jane Sisk Henshaw Osborne Knott
Thank you. You saved me a trip.
I looked all over Keith Springs Cemetery with my wife. I probably over looked her. I couldn't find her. I also checked the little church Cemetey up the road prior to Keith Springs Cemetery. I was looking for Moses Rufus Hinshaw, as well. This was her first husband and they had children together, thought she might be buried next to him. I only saw a Mary Sisk next to a John Hinshaw and Dock Sisk next to his wife, Millie. These headstones are next to the fence on the right hand side of Keith Springs Cemetery close to the covered pavilion up front. Moses death certificate states Keith Springs Cemetery, but could be buried at Little Mountain. I didn't find him either, unless he's under an alias. Minda was married 3 times that I know of. Hinshaw, Osborne and the last I know of, Knott. I was looking for a "Minda". I didn't realize till a few days ago, there's another cemetery at the end of Keith Springs Moumtain Road, Called little Mountain cemetery. If you drive past Keith Springs Cemetery with this cemetery on your left, keep driving straight on Keith Springs Moumtain Road till the road runs out at Little Mountain Cemetery. I was going to try there next. It pays to get out and walk a cemetery, one would be surprised who isn't there. Thanks again.
