Hi, I received a notice informing me of a photo request being fulfilled, but I am unable to see any photo of the grave on this memorial page. If you have access to it I'd love to see it.
Thank you for your time,

|Juliaom||John Duvall of Massac Co IL|
Thanks for the info. Okay our John's are different, however why is Doshey/Docia's will recorded in Massac Co, IL and not Scott Co, KY?
I cannot get to the links for your tree it just takes me to Ancestry. I have been a member over 15 years. Also you mention the Ancestry link for Lucy H. Craine. Is she on your tree also. I can find her by name probably. I will look up the KY sources you refer to if I can find them.
I am third term Registrar for our DAR chapter here, and past Registrar for the Colonial Dames 17th Century. So I research pretty much 24/7 in this area. Most of my folks are the Caldwell Co, Graves Co, Livingston Co. people. I am from McCracken Co.KY.

|Juliaom||RE: John Duvall and Docia Gregory|
WE have the same line, Mareen 3 and Sarah Griffith, Benjamin and Anne Griffity, Lewis and Jemima, Elisha and Luch H. Craine, John Duvall Sr and 1st wife Polly Wheeler, and Matilda Duvall marr William Winters. Matilda is sister of your Harvey.
You have done quite a lot of research but I really don't download others information. I am happy to share my sources.
My real question is your death and interments of John and Doshey/Docia Gregory in Georgetown KY.
I live 20 minutes from the Gtown Cem and have photographed that cemetery. Are you saying they are in Gtown Cem on Rt 25? I will go there and check the office for a record unless you already have their interment record. Both John and Doshey/Docia have wills in Massac Co, IL, and Doshey/Docia is in the 1850 Massac Co, IL census.
CENSUS: 1850 IL, Massac, taken 21 Sep 1850, Family 431/431:Docia DUVALL, age 60, female, worth 200 ?, born VA
Samuel C. age 22, male, born VA
Elizabeth, age 7 (probably a grandchild, a twin of John Duvall age 7, dau of J. W. and Ann Family 430/430 above on census), born KY.
Why would they be buried in Gtown, Scott Co, KY if their family is in Massac and Livingston and Caldwell Co, KY? I am happy to change my records if they are in error but I need a source for the Georgetown burials. Appreciate your patience.

|Juliaom||John Duvall and Docia Gregory|
Hi, I think we have our John Duvall's nixed up. You have a Col. John and Docia/Doshy Gregory Duvall buried in Scott Co, KY.
Maybe this is your Duvall's I don't know.
But the son of Lewis Duvall and Jemima unk as far as I know is John Duvall who died bef Oct 1847 in Massac Co, IL and married Docia Gregory.
Their estate is in the basement of the Massac Co, IL courthouse in a metal box I found many years ago.
WILL.Docia Duvall's estate papers filed 9 Nov 1857, in Box 96, Massac Co IL Courthouse, in the basement in metal box at Metropolis.
Estate of John Duvall Sr (husband) in Book B pg 83 Massac Co IL, October 1847.
I probably have copy in file. There is probably only one Docia Gregory who married a John Duvall. We should probably sort them out.

What is the adoption find a grave? If I sent you the money and information, would you supervise the placing of a head stone for me?
I live over here close to Ft Stewart, almost impossible for me to get there. Jan

|Ken Buttry||Buttery family|
HI, First, thanks for your service to OUR COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some advice--- when researching the Buttery family, accept the various spellings--Buttry, Buttrey, Butry, etc. Census takers and others have misspelled our name for years. If you access my tree on ancestry.com you can find much of our family back to about 1800. I use the spelling of Buttry which is mine but was misspelled on my birth certificate as Buttery with my parents as Buttry.

THANK YOU for acceptinf the photo request and thank you for tour note. It took me a while to figure out the feedback system, messages from photographers. I telephoned the cetery and was able to get the info you were looking for. There is probably a stone for Joanne at this point. At tour convenience, can you please check at cem? Perhaps aftet snow melts a bit more. Sunny day with no shadows on stone, if possible. FOR Joaanne Farrar's grave...location is Lot 0615, Space 16. Paul Campbell said that if you stop at office they can direct you to location.Thank you for your helpful assistance.

Colonel: I thought it a good idea to transfer the management of your ancestor to you. I hope that meets with your approval. It's always such an honor to come across these great patriots and the honor is increased when I can connect them with a descendant who appreciates their sacrifices!
Thank you for your service, sir!

Sorry, but I do not know this person. I have taken photos at this cemetery a few times and her/his info is incorrect in some instances. When I have asked for an edit, I get no response and other Find A Grave members have written to ask me the same question. Writing Find A Grave management has resulted in nothing in the past. Good luck! Linda

|Kendall Clark||RE: Tully family|
I tried to join it before, but found it very confusing. My cousin has done a lot of our genealogy, and I tried ancestry.com to try and link up to her info. So if you have access to ancestry.com, you may already have a lot of the info that she has posted. I did want to make sure that you knew of the Love MS cemetery, as quite a few Tullys are buried there. That much I do know :)
