Lydia Sweet
Hi,

I saw you left a note on Lydia Sweet's memorial #26805027 and I was wondering if you happen to be related to her? She is my 5th great grandmother.

Thanks,
Tyler

RE: Pierces at Chappaqua
Added a couple extra Pierces I came across. Still have a few photos to upload. Cemetery isn't in great shape--headstones very worn, lots of overgrowth, poison ivy everywhere. I think a lot of the remaining photo requests are in a more inaccessible area (well, unless you *like* poison ivy), so may not get filled any time soon!

Flewwellin graves
Sarah,
Several of the requests you sent me are already in the cemetery and photographed Augustus Flewwellin is spelled with 2 W's which probably is your confusion- would you delete your entries that are differently spelled?

Ugh, it looks like her husband and son are also duplicates. I'll delete all three of the records I created, as I think her photos are better. --Chris

RE: Mary Miller Foshay
Sure! There are so many Foshays in this cemetery! I photographed a few others, too. So if you search Hillside Cemetery for Foshay, you might see a few new names that weren't there yesterday.

Can't remove the link to Lewis Hunt. It might have to be done by the person who created Lewis' memorial--doesn't work on my end.

Quaker Cemetery in Chapaqua
Made the corrections and changes you suggested. You've been busy! Thanks for all your work.

I drove past there last week. The area where the older graves are located was cleared (it was very overgrown), so it may be possible to find a lot more of the graves now.

RE: Adeline and James A Young
Just looked at the birth dates. I think James B. Is correct, unless I transcribed the wrong dates for James A.. I linked Adeline to James B.. Hope this is right!

RE: Vartan Domborian
Good.
Just as a parting note, I wanted to make sure that you all know that Vartan's cousin, Azad Asadoorian, is buried at Arcola-Roseland Cemetery. I have photographed all the graves in Arcola which still have markers; Azad has no marker. There is an unmarked grave next to his aunt, Elizabeth Dombourian. He probably rest there.
Good Luck with Your Research,
Peachy

I moved the memorial. (Vartan's)
In my defense, I asked an expert on NO cemeteries, "If an obit just says 'Masonic Cemetery', does that mean #1 or #2?" They replied, "If no number is mentioned in the obit, it usually indicates #1."
Regardless, I have moved Vartan Dombourian from Masonic #1 to Masonic #2 with his wife. I have also asked NolaGirl to add a photo of his (their) tombstone, which NolaGirl already has, to Vartan's memorial.
Sorry for the mix-up.

Second Look - Dombourian
If Adele Dombourian is in Masonic Cemetery #2, Vartan probably is also. Would you like to make a memorial there or should I? I will delete the memorial in Masonic Cemetery #1.

RE: Vartan Dombourian
Hi,
This is all I know about Mr. Dombourian:
TIMES-PICAYUNE, 22 Feb 1963, page 2
Deaths
DOMBOURIAN On Wednesday, February 20, 1963, at 8:35 o'clock p. m., VARTAN N. DOMBOURIAN; husband of Adele Armstrong; father of Ann and Linda Dombourian; brother of Azad Masts, Peter and Robert Dombourian; cousin of Levon Dorian; son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mampreh Dombourian.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.
Services from the home of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, Inc., 4127 South Claiborne avenue (parking entrance adjoining), on Friday morning, February 22, 1963, at 10 o'clock.
Interment in Masonic cemetery.

Sorry to not be more help. I am not related and would be amiable to transfer to a family member.

Highland Democrat obituary: Aaron Rand (1808-1902)
Many thanks for the reference with much information I'll eventually add to his Woodlawn memorial. The Hathaways and Rands (and a few other surnames) intermarried for generations and this helped to keep the facts straight.

Appreciatively, Philip Hathaway Koether in NYC

RE: Assumption Cemetery
I don't know, there are a handful of stones that no longer have any names on them and can't be identified they could be one of them, or maybe the didn't have one or it could have gone away.

I saw one there made of wood that is still standing from 1926 and other ones you just can't tell. Then there are some that are just metal or cement crosses that don't look like they ever had information on them.

Assumption Cemetery
Hi Sarah,

I see you are creating photo requests for people in the Assumption Cemetery who died prior to 1940. All of those people you created a request for have no headstones there.

I have all of the headstones pictured for deaths prior to the 1960's, there's nothing there for those names.

Rich

In the same plot K-86 are

Charles Silvey Pugsley, Jr 1914-1992
Charlotte Hinkly Pugsley 1914-2008
Patricia Pugsley King 1940-1962
Infant son Pugsley 1945
Jonathan David Pugsley 1992-2010

Should you need better, clearer photos, please do not hesitate. I am out there often. This trip the batteries on the camera were almost gone and I did not know it before going out there.
