Susan Collins
Hi again Nancy M,

Do you have any more information on the family cemetery where Susan Collins is buried?

Such as the location or address?

Was there a tombstone there?

Thanks very much.
Beverly

HI - Thank you for putting the information for my 6th great grandmother.

Her husband was John W Collins & he was killed in the Civil War from injuries suffered from a gunshot wound to his brain. He died September 19 1862 at Stone General Hospital, Washington, DC. He fought in several battles in Virginia.

It is my understanding, as a direct descendant of Shubael Mason (6th grt GF), that the ongoing work to establish the actual burials in BFC of the Masons and many other families, is just that...ONGOING. Nancy has posted ****Name included in this listing; research continues for supporting documentation- clearly states what it states! I do not see any misrepresentation or attempt to deceive or fool anyone. All of those on Find A Grave work with the utmost respect for what we do..research and post... in the hope of helping others to find what they are looking for. As a member of the DAR, whose Patriot IS Shubael Mason, it is my hope that BFC is Shubael's final resting place, and someday, the proof will surface that he is indeed interred near his father (Samson) and mother (Hannah) in BFC. There is a strong dedication to seek the truth and save the cemetery by the group known as Friends of Blossom Farm Cemetery (FOBFC). We would welcome the research and help of anyone willing to assist. Until we find the "truth", we will use, **, so as not to offend anyone. So, if you are not part of the solution.....don't be part of the problem! Thank you Nancy M, for posting what you post - with enough integrity to admit you are not sure!

RE: Shubael Mason
I don't join because I don't believe in what you are doing you are not restoring the cemetery. you are making it shrine for who you feel is important to you. your are miss informing people of the history of it as well. Also you are breaking the law with it and should have never taken matters in your own hands it should have been left too the experts. If a cemetery has more than one family in it is up too the county too deal with it. you putting people in it who are not in it is just too glorify the cemetery, and will stop people from trying to find out where the person really is buried. how much history do you really know about the people in the cemetery I bet you I can tell you the cause of death on more than half that are in it can you say that. when you do this kind of things the facts are what matter, not what people want it too be.

Jane Rich Chilson
Hello! I have been doing some digging into genealogy on my biological fathers side. I came across Jane Rich Chilson as one of my great grandmothers and seen that you had posted a picture of her. I was wondering if I could get an electronic copy of that picture. The one on the website is so small.

Hi Ruth,

I guess you do not know where Gerrit and Sarah are buried. There was in the 1800s a cemetery, on what is now NYS Route 22, known as the Blossom Cemetery. it was just around the corner from where they lived. It has been gone for some time, stones and all. The Fort Ann Historian has no records on the burials and there were over 100.
Best regards,
Jim

RE: Blossom Farm Cemetery Pics
Thanks. I love the new pics. I think there is some good news in seeing the cemetery and that is he didn't plow the ground. From what I see it looks like some of the tombstones could be repaired to stand as they once did and possibly others could be recreated. Are there any cemetery records other than the single sheet you sent to me? KEEP up the good work.

THANKS for the Mason pictures. How did you get in to take the pics? If it's possible to now get in, could a picture be taken without the shadows? Hopefully the committee will be able to have access and restore some of the stones, this one for example. Jim
