I don't know if you have posted this photograph for someone else, or if it is from your family. Either way, I am interested in finding out if you or someone else has additional photographs of him or other relatives. He is my great-great grandfather.

|Leigh Ann Atwell||Hi|
You're very welcome! That does make a lot more sense. I don't think I've come across that census yet, but grandma has told me she was living with Aunt Carrie. When I can get to those pictures I will add them to her memorial. Thanks Roanna!

|Leigh Ann Atwell||Sippie Ann|
Hi Roanna! I can send over a copy of Sippie's death certificate if it helps? It lists the cemetery and has their son Harrison as the informant. Your son-in-law may like to speak with my grandmother as well, she is Carter & Sippie's oldest child and one of only two surviving. Sippie married a man with the last name of Douglass, then a man by the name of Tommie Brown, she outlived all three of her husbands.

|Leigh Ann Atwell||Joshaway & Sippie Ann|
Roanna, I finally figured it all out. The Sippie listed as Joshaway's wife is not the correct Sippie. Sippie Goins outlived him by about 30 years. She was remarried twice. I spoke with my grandmother who told me Sippie (her grandmother) is buried in Boydston Cemetery in Tiftonia, TN. So I tracked down her memorial: #5963283. I thought you may want to update the spouse part on Joshaway's memorial. Also, in regards to your notes on his page, I think that his name may have originally been Joshaway, as many other members of his family with the same name had the same spelling. I just wanted to say thank you for all the work you've done on my family pages.

Hi Roanna. First of all, thank you so much for these great pictures and putting the records for James McKinney. He is my wonderful stepdad's grandfather. My Stepdad's name is Edward Gilkison. He was named after his grandfather's middle name. His mother, and James' daughter is Viola Lillian McKinney, 1912-1988. She is not listed as one of his children on your site. Can you please add her? Thank you again for the service you do.

|Jan Summers||Harley Rexford Gray|
Hi Roanna. I have linked Harley to his parents. I have changed his birth year to 1896 which is consistent with his WWI registration. When I created his memorial I used his death record which gave 1897. You made a request for the year of death to be changed to 1930. My source then was his death record and also interment records for Ridgewood Cemetery which both have the year as 1928. I also came across Beatrice's application for a military headstone which also gives 1928 as the year of death. I believe the record that you found was the Ohio Death Index which does indeed incorrectly list the year of death as 1930. I also put in a request for his son Jack to be linked. I hope this information is helpful. Best regards, Jan

|Leigh Ann Atwell||Hi Roanna|
So odd! I have Sippie Ann as the wife of Joshua Carter Goins (also buried in Price Cemetery). On Pension records she's listed with the maiden name Douglass, and seven children. Perhaps I have the wrong Sippie Ann. I appreciate the quick response. I'm still fairly new to this, and I am so grateful for any help I receive.

I located a memorial for my great great grandmother Sippie Ann Goins (#117730390). I know it's a long shot, but if you have any information (anything at all) I would so appreciate the help. I am having the hardest time finding anything past her & her husband Joshua Carter Goins. I can be contacted easiest at email@example.com

|Bill_R||Wm Arthur Duhl|
I have additionally added a childhood picture of Arthur and his younger brother James Edward. J. Edward is my wife's GPa. The reference in Wm Arthur's birth record to Milton is for Milton Township of Jackson County Ohio. A portion of the town of Wellston is in Milton Township. I do not, however, know for sure that he was born within the city limits of Wellston, only that it was within the township. Thank you.

|melissaღ||RE: Your Loss|
Thank you Roanna for the thoughts and prayers. It means a lot to us. We knew she was going to pass away from the cancer but it was quicker then we thought it would be. We hoped we would have had more time but God had other plans and took her home. We are still trying to deal with it and taking it day by day. Thanks again.

|Roy K||RE: Susannah Margartha Dieffenbaugh Hull|
My connection is through Maj. Peter T. Hull who married Susanna Margarita Dieffenbaug on Nov. 25, 1750 in Lancaster, Penn. Later moved to Crabbottom, Pendleton, (Highland County) Va. Susanna's father was Johann Martin Dieffenbach who was born in Germany in 1649 and immigrated to Lancaster, Penn. where he died in 1716.
There is an interesting "Google Play" eBook (Free) entitled A History of Highland County, Virginia that goes into great detail about the pioneer families who settled this mountain area. Because of the limited number of families there was much intermarriage within the various families. Therefore, you keep seeing the same family names over and over again. Two of the families are the Hulls (Hohl) and the Trimbles. The book is worth a quick survey to see if any of the names apply to your family.
Nice to hear from you Roanna.
