Frank Mindak at Stanislaus Cemetry
Hello Carol, I found a burial record for Franciszek Mindak at St. Adalbert's Cemetery in Niles, IL. Burial record does not indicate the age of Franciszek but gives the year of the burial as 1891. It looks like Franciszek was buried in term grave in old part of the cemetery. It's possible this Franciszek and your Frank is the same person.

Ruth Field
Thank you, thank you, Carol! We were of the understanding that my Aunt Ruthie was buried in Minnesota where she was in a convalescent home near her son. We were unaware that she was brought back to Rice Lake for burial. She died weeks after my young daughter passed away, so we were completely unaware. A million blessings upon you for all your amazing work! You've brought a smile to my heart.

John Vincent Demers
Hello Carol,
Thank you so very much for your diligence. Being that little John was only 6 months old when he died, he could be anywhere in St. Joseph. That Debi from the church is possibly right. Money was tight and babies didn't require burials like adults. We know that he's in the arms of the angels. Hugs to you, Carol, for your kindness. It is greatly appreciated. Sorry for the trip.

RE: John Demers (baby)
Hi Carol,
Don't know if you got my previous message. Baby John Demers' parents were Eusebe Demers (1875-1949) and Mary Demers (1869-1966) He died in 1900 so don't know if he is buried near them. Needle in haystack with so many Demers at St. Joseph. Let it go for now. (Mission Impossible) I appreciate all your kindness and effort. Will need to do more research with the church for location.

Thanks!
Linda

Canadian French or French French
French! But the Canadians and I make ourselves understood. My wife of 25 years is French. She and I are no longer together, but we have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren. All are in France. My son (the 1/2 SCHIEFFER whose ancestors are also those of the Roberge / Robarge of Barron Co., WI.) is learning the language in High School. The plan is to visit Quebec for about 3 days, then fly to France for a month - then stay with my son's 1/2 sisters and families. I spent 16 years in France...
