RE: Edward Karaska
Suggest we wait until we get a photo of the headstone from Holy Cross - if there is one. I have learned from experience, that people are not always buried where indicated on a death certificate.

Good to know that there is no headstone at Holy Trinity.

I will put this in my pending file and follow up with you once we know about Holy Cross.

Thank you so much for your help.

RE: Edward Karaska
I thought so originally, but parents are siblings are the same. We may end up with two headstones for the same person - I have several in my family tree for various reasons. Requested photos so we can hopefully figure out what happened.

Thanks for the response!

Tweety Emmett
Charles & Sabina Blaum
Hi Steve,

Their suggestion:
-------------------------
I added photos for Charles Blaum and his wife. Headstone is in St Nicholas cemetery at Shavertown, not Darling St.

I have made the correction on both Charles and Sabina Blaum.

Also, thank you, for taking a photograph of the tombstones.

Mary

Hi Steve,

You do great work.
I see you all over findgrave.com website.

Just a note.

Find A Grave Memorial# 148274590
Mary Costello Stegmaier passed away on December 1st, not December 11th.

If you could make that change, then that would be great.

Sincerely,

Chris Langdon

Stella Werry (Wherry) Whipple
Hi Steve,

I received your suggested edits on my Great Grandmother's memorial. Thank you for the edits I had been unable to locate Stella's Father and had been somewhat confused by the Caroline's name in my research on Ancestry. I think Caroline may have been Stella's step-mother and that some of her siblings were rather half-siblings.

Stella's grave is 149429718 and was added by someone else at the cemetery I believe and our family always spelled her last name Werry (including on her Obit). For whatever reason, she went by that rather than Wherry.

Sarah J. (Adams) Werry was an orphaned child of a Union soldier.

Thank you so much for your edits which have really helped us. Sarah, William and Caroline all appear to be buried in city cemetery.

Thanks, Steve! This (yours) seems so sad....child born and died on same day. Always sad to me.
I appreciate you checking on this for me...it really helps with my records.

William Smith
Hi Steve....I am hoping you can help me. You have listed my ancestor, William Smith # 107847840 in St. Mary's cemetery. According to the death certificate, he is buried in Hollenback and I made a memorial for him #117061087. I believe that they may be one and the same. Could you check them and see if they are a duplicate? Joan Cavanaugh went to Hollenback and got a photo of the headstones so I think he may be there unless there is another William Smith with the same dates which is unlikely. Is St. Mary's a part of Hollenback?

Hello. This person is my ancestor. Buried in Hanover Green. I've had a request in for a photo for quite some time. Do you know if there is anyone in the area taking requests? I would like to manage this page, if that's ok with you. Thank you. Much appreciated.

Mary L. Dougherty memorial
Hi Steve,
I believe I created a duplicate memorial for this person in St. Charles cemetery in Sugar Notch. I did add a photo to mine and I do not still have the photo. Could we solve it by me transferring mine to you and you could delete yours?

This memorial is for my 2nd great grandfather, Thomas Smith Dearden. Would you consider having me manage it? I am very interested in finding out where you got the picture of him as I have none, do you know where it came from?

Family graves
Hi Steve,
You have been very responsive in the past so I am writing you to see if you can help me. I would like to take over the management of 4 family graves that were created by:

Beth (#46813814)

I wrote her about awhile ago but I have received no response. She does not have an email address, and I am wondering if she is active on the site anymore.

Any information you can provide me would be most appreciated.

Hi Steve, You did a great job. This is my Grandmother. I would like to take over management if possible and I would greatly appreciate it if you would let me know how to get an original copy of the article from the Wilkes-Barre Record, 25 May 1947, if at all possible. Thank you so very much, Now I have another avenue to explore, we are not sure where she was born, Poland, Lithuania, Rusia. Thank you again, Mary Scafo

Hugh Jones Hollenbach
Edwin and Hugh are half brothers. Anna married her step son Edwin. There is another Hugh Jones that was born in Wales that is the father of Hugh. I would like to work on straightening out this family, and it is very confusing, there are a few full and half and halves that Edwin is the father and uncle ish. By the sheer volume of your work you are to be congratulated for a great job, it is truly amazing.
