I delete the comment. Didn't do the Obit. but I figure that's the spelling they used for Leovell.

Yes, you are so right about the second set of eyes... and also about our future genealogy/family researhers... If you find that you are related to Sarah or anyone else I have submitted I will be more than happy to transfer if I am not closely related as well...I haven't added any new memorials lately but I haven't given up on the site either, I am for now taking info I have on ancestors and their descendants and adding it to their memorials, even the ones I haven't submitted, I either ask for a transfer or send the data to the submitter and ask them to add it, figure that is also important, gives researchers a bit of history on the memorial when they find it...have a nice day and keep working on the site, it is indeed a blessing...

Sarah Ann Lovell
Thanks for the correction to Sarah Ann Lovell's birth date, a typo error on my part that I did not would be very hard to die before you were born.. if you are related I would be glad to transfer with a request for transfer and your id
Again, Thanks

RE: Walter Lee Potter
Thank you, Kathy for setting up the memorial for Walter Lee Potter. One of his sons, William H. Potter, is the father of my great-grandmother. Sarah would have been his sister. William H. Potter's daughter was Mary Belle and she married a William A. Butts. They had a son, Burton A. Butts who is the father of my father.

I would assume we are distant cousins if Sarah was a relation of yours. Not sure though. I would love to hear back from you and talk to more about this possible relationship and share any data with you that you or I might have.

Again, many thanks. You may email me back at Please forward my email address to anyone else that might have data or want to collaborate on a family tree.

RE: Re: Grace Hackett
That may help. For some reason it is tough getting contact info for that cemetery. I think there is a firehouse there...the next time we go there, we will stop there and maybe we will get lucky. Another resource would be a funeral home; they would have to know whom to contact, wouldn't they?

Many of the local cemeteries around here are privatized, meaning some private companies run them AND the town. They are so small that they cannot afford to run themselves.

Hi Kathy, many thanks for bringing this to my attention. I have deleted the wrong photo and created a new memorial for the man. I have yet to place the photo there due to the website's problems uploading photos at this time. At least the memorial is now there for his family, and I am sure they will appreciate the photo once it is uploaded. Thanks again, Kathy.

RE: Thanks for the Eliza Colwell photo
You are welcome, it was fortunate that I had the image in my iPhoto file and recognized the name from some research I had done for friends and for my wife. You may have more cousins here than you think. Please contact me via E-mail .
There are a number of related folks at Pocasset Cemetery, where I have taken many images. If you are starting to check your RI ancestors, you will possibly go back to the Mayflower. Gather what you may from this image and ask if you need others in our area. Bob Brown

I must confess I had a little help from a local that uses the cemetery for walking. He is much younger than me and much stronger. I pried it out of the dirt and he helped getting it on its base.

RE: Two Photo Requests
Well I really appreciate your efforts. I am just starting on the Anderson line. I had a big brick wall with little info, Ida was the baby sister of my great grandmother. Their father's name was David Anderson and all I had was he was from Canada. Then I found a memorial on Find A Grave of his brother in law, but mentions my great, great grandfather joining the Union Army at the same time. That was about two weeks ago, so now am doing some of the ANDERSON line. It would be funny if the two ANDERSON ladies ended up in the same line.

Again thank you for doing this for me, Ida was not easy to find where she was buried, but determination finally won out and I was able to link her to her parents.

RE: Two Photo Requests
Thank you so much. When icalled for info I talked to a really nice lady, but she was not familar with that section. She was going to mail me info on the cemetery and section of burial. but since I am in southern CA I probably won't have it until Monday or Tuesday. If it helps I can scan it and email it to you next week.

I appreciate you doing this.

RE: Adeline Graham
You are most welcome! And I believe there is a "Grider" somewhere in the woodwork. I half-heartedly tried to find someone with that last name several years ago, but didn't find anyone. In addition to the "Grider" middle name, I was also curious about Adeline's middle name WATS. For years, we had searched to find out what the "W" stood for, but couldn't find it, then one day, while looking through the 1900 U.S. Federal Census Records, I discovered "Wats Graham" (reportedly the "mother-in-law" to the head of household) living with the famiy of her daughter, Sarah, who married Ephraim Burris. I was so delighted!!! We finally had her middle name! I don't know where the name came from, though, but I suspect that it was probably passed down from her maternal lineage somewhere. Notably, there were residents in the same area of Kentucky with the "Wats" and "Watts" last name(s). These, and other tasks are in my genealogical "to do" list.

I'm so delighted to have another genealogist in our ranks to help with all the hundreds of mysteries in this lineage. Welcome aboard!

RE: Thanks for Gunderson stones
Whenever I am requested to take photos, I always take photos of others with the same surname as well because one never knows when that extra info may come in handy. I also try take of the entire area.

There are two more Gundersons which you did not request but I was not able to find them.

The cemetery is very beautiful but difficult to walk because the rows are not straight, so it is easy to miss one or two. I was surprised to find yours.

Good luck with the Gundersons.
