Sorry, I normally added the photo to both names on the stone when I add photos. I must have missed this one, but it is taken care of now.

Thank you so much, Kathy!! That helps me out quite a bit. I think I told you I'm just barely starting to get into family history--I know a lot about the dead people I knew, but this is my first real foray into territory unknown. Thank you once again!

Yes you can transfer Cecile to me. Her husband is in the Frederick Talburt Jr. line, which I am in too, just a different branch. Thank you!!

Thank you Kathy for so quickly adding your photo of our great grandparents gravestone to our memorial pages. I added the plot information and I was able to add more photos of their building in which the West Plains Journal was published as well as a stained glass window in the First Baptist Church that was dedicated to them. How wonderful that you took that photo and now we know where they are! I hope you find the graves of the relatives you are looking for. I'm still looking for others too, but little by little as people volunteer, hopefully you and I will find them.
If I give you credit by posting your name, would you allow us to add the photo of their gravestone on our Ancestry tree for them?

Margaret's parents are indeed the right ones! This is actually my first real find. We had partial names, but no dates. I know you guys are dealing with ice storms and more snow than we have in Utah, so this information is great so far. Thank you so much for your help!!

I was afraid there would be no marker. Thank you for all the photos you take and the many steps you take across the grave yards

I have his 1936 death register record from the Lutheran church he attended in Winona County and others of children he and Amelia had between 1890 and 1897 who didn't survive.

1900 Federal Census Identified Fred and Amelia Shoemaker in Sisson Twp Howell County MO with four of their surviving children. Those children were all born in Winona County MN. Friedrich August (or August Friedrich) and the children returned to Minnesota after his first spouse's death. He remarried and had three more children who all lived to adulthood. Amelia is my first cousin 3 times removed. Your findagrave entry was found by another genealogy relative who continues to reside in Winona County.

I'm so sorry it's taken so long to respond. I have MS and it keeps me from doing all I'd like too in a day at times.
I leave many flowers, so I doubt I knew Becky or your family. If you remind me of her Find A Grave# though I will do what I can to see that her son(s) are connected to her memorial, along with any other relatives I can find.
Is her husband connected?
Otherwise, good luck! Happy graving!

I do not have any additional information about Robert Gilstrap or his daughter Meredith. I would be happy to share it with you if I had any information.

No problem, just noticed difference on stone and thouget it was typo. Know what you mean about spelling. My great grand mother's stone was ordered by a tinker when he went to a big town and it was returned to her husband with Jamason spelled Jemmison. Guess he spelled it the way her Irish husband made it sound.

The GIS system should get you close. I noticed the GIS system listed the next plot over as empty, yet they had a photo attached to that record. It was the GEORGE tombstone photo. So, I think he is actually in that plot. The database listed three other non-related folks in the first plot.
Hence, I think there records may be off here and there. You must look closely to everything surrounding where your interest is to make sure.

Thanks but Jesse Lee Hudson falls outside Find A Grave guidelines and it appears you are doing a swell job of maintaining his memorial.

According to my records, J.L. Hudson would be Jesse Lee Hudson, son of Jesse F. & Susan G. (Short) Hudson. I submitted a name change before I realized that you were the contributor. Hope that doesn't confuse things.

Kathy: I'm sorry I don't have George's parents, and I'm very unsure of his wife's too. I hope to uncover that information, but at this point I'm no help I'm afraid.
Thanks again for the photo.

Kathy, Thank you. Fortunately, I had already located William's death certificate. I had been trying to find his grave and finally got around to looking in other cemeteries in Howell Co. for anyone with last name, George.
After finding this unfinished tombstone, I need to contact the cemetery and see if there are any records available that might confirm this is the final resting place for William George.
Thanks again. I will keep you posted.

Thanks so much for posting the photo of George Butcher's marker. It helped clarify his birth year, and I've put through a correction request for the listing. Thanks again!
