RE: Jacob Ritter
Hi Kathy,

My wife is a descendant of Jacob Ritter. I have a photo of his gravestone I can upload. Are you related to Jacob?

Thanks,
Chris

I added your info to her bio. I was also able to find a newspaper article that said the traffic signs had been removed from the highway as repairs were being made and that this contributed to the accident, according to the coroner's inquest.

RE: Luise Erdmann
Not that we've been able to find. We have a couple relatives in our tree with Erdman as a middle name. If you're related and would like to take care of the memorial please let me know and I can transfer the memorial to you. Happy Researching!

I am sorry, I created this memorial while taking random photos at Forest Lawn. I do not know any further details regarding this lady.

Respectfully yours,

James

It actually isn't too much work. Most of the time, I can generally hit "accept" for most edits that are sent to me. If I notice something that really doesn't seem to fit, hit "ignore" while I investigate, usually by sending a message to the requestor. I get anywhere from 10 to 20 requests per day.

I love going to the cemetery and taking lots of photos and then putting them on this site, either onto existing memorials, or creating new ones. There is a group of us that are in the process of photographing an entire cemetery. We've been at it for about 3 years now. Looks like it will take us about 4 or 5 years total to finish. We only go once a month and shoot as much as we can in a couple of hours. All of the memorials are there, we just need to add the photos. It is really fun and, I believe, time well spent in the pursuit of cemetery preservation and community service.

Take care!

-B.J.

RE: Ruth Ann Sly
Oh, there she is! That's strange . . . I did a search using her name and the search came up with nothing. Maybe I goofed on the search and misspelled her name.

I 'inherited' 25,000 memorials from Chris Mills, to take care of here in Inglewood. He had over 400,000 and it was quite a lot of work to keep up with.

I have found a couple of cousins on this site, so I now know why you asked your original question. One of the cousins who contacted me was someone I had no idea existed, from a "half-sister" line on one of my great-great grandparents. It is interesting that I had never even thought of this type of possibility!

I will be at the cemetery on the weekend so I will get a photo of Ruth's headstone.

Best regards,
B.J.

After I responded, I could not remember the name, so I did a search and could not find it. Is Ruth a living person? It spiked my curiosity as to why you asked.

RE: Torger Hoff
just an FYI - Thomas/Torger's is the only marked grave in what appears would be a family plot. I have no idea if there are other family members buried there or not.

Sorry I do not have anything further about her. I created this memorial from a large number of random headstone photos. James
