RE: Cane Run Cemetery
No Carolyn I don't, sorry. I was there once but that was a while back and I didn't drive. My memory isn't so good anymore :(

RE: Ruby Ellen Daniel
Wow! What a coincidence. And thanks so much.

I actually have no idea what the connection to the Daniels is. The ancestor I am looking for is a Massey Thomas and his wife Dicey Thomas (ne Tolbert or Talbert or...). I have the info I do on Massey because he was a Revolutionary War veteran and his wife got a pension so there are some records. He was born in 1760 and died in 1818, to put it in a time frame for you.

According to my records he had five children, four boys and a girl. The girl was named Rhoda and married someone named Joseph Gentry and continued to live in Kentucky. (My ancestor was one of the sons, James, who was a wanderer and ended up in California having left at lest 13 kids in various places along the way, which is what has kept me so busy.) The other sons were Benjamin, John and William Massey.

Anyway, as I said, the only note I have on burial is that Massey and Dicey are buried on Ruby Ellen Daniel's farm, in graves marked with stones but with nothing written on them.

So now you know pretty much all I know. If any of this makes a connection I'd love to know it. And thanks so much for thinking of me.

Ethel Autry
Carolyn, would you be willing to transfer Ethel to me please? She was my grandmother's sister and would like to have the family together. Her # is 111903848 and my # is #46936631

Thanks and have a good day.

RE: Ruby Ellen Daniel
Ah, I thought as much. But thanks for the reply. She is in Axton Cemetery in Olaton County. And that is, generally, where her farm was as well.

Ruby Ellen Daniel

I see that you have created a memorial for Ruby Ellen Daniel. I'm guessing maybe she is one of the random ones you speak of and not really a family member, but I am wondering if you or anyone else who has seen this knows anything more about her. Specifically, my genealogical research has yielded the belief that two of my ancestors, named Thomas, were buried on what was, in the 1950's I think, Ruby's farm. I guess I would love to know if anyone knows where that farm was.

RE: Forman Cemetery
Thank you so much for taking the pictures of the stones. It adds a lot to the memorial for the photo to also be there. A lot of families that can't visit the cemetery can now be able to see the monument of their loved one.
Thanks again, ICD

Carolyn, would you please link Ethel Autry (#111903848) to her parents Jerry Cotton (76709849) and Nancy White Cotton (31834222) Thank you.

olie harder
Can you tell me anything about Olie Harder? I am looking for a James harder and his birthdate is the same as Olie and was from Fordsville, KY. I have a relative that knew him with red hair and worked at Inland steel in Gary, In. Could this me their friend?

Some additional info on Ethel Autry...she was the daughter of Jerry and Nancy White Cotton. Ethel died from a blow to the stomach while pregnant and both she and the baby died as the result.

RE: Lena Powell

You are so very welcome. My dad and I took advantage of the sunny, but still cool days, to enjoy an outing together. Of course, he was just humoring me with the visits to a couple of cemeteries :)

Hello Carolyn,

I ran across your virtual flower for her today (# 81520894). In it, you say she is your grandmother. I've created her memorial knowing she must be in my family tree somehow, but have not been able to tie her in. Can you please let me know who her husband is and his lineage? I'd love to be able to tie these Mayes' into my tree.

If you would please, go to the edit button on her page, under suggest a correction, ask for a transfer. That way all numbers are there, it makes it easier.

Thanks for the kind words. If you would want me to transfer her for you to maintain I would be glad to. I do believe family belongs to family even if it out of the four generation rule Find A Grave has. I made virtual cemeteries for each of my families and gather them there.

Carolyn, thank you so much for taking the time to get the photo of Delia's stone. She was the sister of my great grandmother. Both of these Estes girls married John Harris. One day I hope we can find their mother and father, which I think died also there in Muhlenberg Co.

RE: Rhoades cemetery
Carolyn, not sure whether I ever replied to your inquiry. I believe the 2 cemeteries are the same and the names interchangeable. The location of the cemetery you describe it exactly where I found it.

Thank You so much for the very high quality photo of Joseph's gravestone. I assume his wife is not deceased, since she has no death date on the marker even though she would now be nearing age 91. That is the only way I have of learning her death date so I can record it in the Franks family tree. Thank You, Ralph Franks, Franks family historian
