I am inputting the memorial pages for this cemetery and saw your photo request..I live in CT so I won't be able to do it. I thought I would let you know the names that are on one monument in this cemetery..
Abner Kittredge d 1894
Mary H (his wife) d 1854
Abner W (their son) d 1846
Lucy A Bryant d 1904 (your photo request)
Addie Edwards d 1856 (unsure of the connection)
The names have already been inputted and there are other Kittredge names that I will put in.
Let me know if I can help at all,

Went back and looked at the Old Burial Ground...I have a host of relatives there. Always knew they were in Mass. near Fairhaven area...and Plymouth moving out with the years. Didn't realize so many had moved to RI area. Shouldn't be surprised, it wasn't that far from where they started.
Thanks for the photos.....I have added more to my tree.
Cousin removed many times. Carol

Thank you, so much. Sarah and the Baileys would be on my grandmother's side. They lived in that area for many years. I'm going to check out other names in the Little Compton Cemetery, the Briggs, Burgess and other Bailey names. Sarah is my 5th great grandmother.
Now I think it would be fun to visit Little Compton area. Have visited the area before, never knowing I had roots there.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the Bailey Lot in Middletown. However, check out this site ... it contains many old gravestone transcriptions in Rhode Island.
Best of luck!

I'm delighted that you found most of the Bailey's and they are all clustered close to the Church ... you likely didn't miss any!

>>I am trying to find out if there is a map to the cemetery, maybe with important stones or sections labeled ... it is better if I have an idea of where people are in such a large cemetery. <<
I will email you a map of the cemetery that shows where the 'notable' graves are located. Just an FYI, Old Commons is actually quite compact ... no more than 2 or 3 acres.

Hi, again, Judith. I wanted to tell you about Hillcrest Cemetery in Paris, Oneida County, NY.
That's a cemetery that wasn't known by many people, but it contains a bunch of Mayflower descendants in it. There is a book that you can get on that cemetery and with your expertise, I think you should get one.
If you call the Town Clerk of Paris, NY, they should be able to tell you who the current head of that Cemetery Association is, and that person can provide you with a copy of the Hillcrest Cemtery book. I gave a copy to the Commander of the California Mayflower Society, but I don't know if that data was ever turned in to or published by the Mayflower Society.
Note: There are Baileys in that cemetery.

I am not related; just a cemetery junkie and Tomson is a great one, with row on row of very old slate stones. I can't certify that I photographed all the Bryants, as it's a fairly large cemetery and would take a couple of days to complete. I did finish the lower, newer section, and a findagraver named Chip560 is an active photographer, you might want to consider contacting him if you think there are other Bryants there. I grew up in the area, but live elsewhere now :-( and only get to visit a couple of times a year. I'm making the transfers now.
Glad someone has found my random snapping useful!

I couldn't help but notice your maiden name is Bailey - I am currently researching the Bailey family of South Jersey for a book - any idea if you are related?

Hi Judith ~
Yup, my friend and I usually go out together, so we split the claims. If possible, I'll find the wives and further, if possible, if I can I'll photograph all the stones in the cemetery. There aren't very many.
We're going out this Wednesday, so you should hear from us by Thursday.

Judith, your photo requests have been fulfilled. As for creating a record for the infant; someone else could fill in the missing parentage info. if they find the rec. in a search. The Mayflower Cem. online listing lists him as John Briggs Cushing in Plot 1317/Grave 7. Although it has a death date of Feb. 2, 1909; marker has 1973-1973.

I think your requesting a photo of the above memorial (I do not have a photo) but I am sorry I do not live in Tampa, I was visiting and while there my husband and I tried to photograph what we could during our visit. I wish I could be of more help.
Have a great day.
Your post to my profile:
Memorial # 34728995
I have just had my husband's great uncle's memorial transferred to me at Woodlawn Cemetery in Tampa.
I have requested a picture, but you never know how long it will take. Is is possible to have one of your pictures of the cemetery added to his memorial - it looks so bare with no photos at all.
I know I can only add photos that are mine.
Thank you so much

No Judith: That's really how you need to do it is send a correction e-mail on each individual person whether that's me or another manager when you are adding more than crosslinks (links to parents and spouses. The exception is if I said that I was not related or otherwise not interested in the LORING family and then I decided to do a bulk transfer. But since I am (sort of like the BAILEYs and in that case through an ALDEN connection) I will want to update each one in my own internal database. You may be trying to add things that is unique to your own private research which hasn't been published elsewhere and isn't assessable online in a documented work. That's fine but when it goes in my own internal database I need to put in that that it came from you --- and on the virtual memorial too. I can be slower sometimes --- because I do this but you never know --- I could have something in my database notes that might give a clue for something upline or downline.
