Carter Cemetery
Sharon, I see that find a grave has really created a mess of the cemetery listings. Would you please consider transfering all of the graves listed by you to me? All of the people buried there are very close relations. I have added a lot of information, some of which I can no longer access. I have, and will continue to do family research that from time to time requires updating those people in the cemetery. So I would be really be grateful if you would do this in light of what find a grave has done.

as always You friend Jim

RE: stewart
Sharon, I found a William H Stewart. born 1763 who married a Jemima (Mima)Carter in 1789 & they died in the Cove. The information is pretty detailed. They had 12 Children who reached adulthood, however it does not mention any children dying young or where the two of them are buried. Would there be any more information on the headstones? The above people are also related to The Presley Family. Mima's mother was Elizabeth Presley, who also married a Carter, (Joseph Carter). The above William & Mima are not listed in Joseph Carter Cemetery, located on Rye Cove Hwy. in the Cove. The above people are related to the people buried on your place. I will keep digging for more information.

RE: Old Carter Cemetery
Thank you Sharon. I live in South Carolina and I get over that way as much as I can. I was born in Rye Cove but lived most of my life in Michigan. My Dad is Clyde Ramey who is the one who told me that it was called the Carter Cemetery. I am also related to the Carter's on my Mothers Side as she was a Carter. Her Mother was a Hackler. She is the sister of Eli and Crawford Hackler.I have relatives in most of cemeteries in that area. I will continue to Attach the members of the family's together until I hear from you.

Old Carter Cemetery
Sharon, My Name is Jim Ramey,I am related to all the people buried in The Old Carter Cemetery. First I would like to apologize. I just made a trip to the cemetery, thinking that it was not listed,on Find a Grave, so when I got home I took all my just taken pictures and listed it . I had been trying for a year before going over there to locate the name of the Cemetery. Long story short I just stumbled on your work. I was at the cemetery a few times when visiting my dad, Clyde Ramey, so I knew where it was but could not locate anyone who could tell me the name. Soooo Please accept my apology and please take a look at THE CARTER CEMETERY I just added. I have been chasing down my family tree so the bio's that I have are pretty accurate. I will wait to hear from you so as to determine what to do. Once again I am sorry for duplicating your work. Please look and see what or how we can combine the information. By the way My Grand Patents are Mitch & Sallie(Carter) Ramey.

Sincerely Jim Ramey

RE: ellen fox
Sharon, it wasn't me who added William Fox and Ellen C. Cunnif Fox as parents to Ellen's memorial. I would suggest going to Ellen Elizabeth Fox West memorial and hit the edit button, above the photo. The next page will give you the option to suggest a correction. Tell Donna who created Ellen's memorial that she has the parents wrong. Thanks for writing and good luck in getting it corrected.
