Around 1990 I started gathering everything I could get my hands on concerning my family history. I inputted it all into Family Tree Maker and put the file up on World Family Tree. I had many email contacts, as a result; the tree grew too many many branches and leaves (21,000 individuals and 3000 locations). I visited libraries, scanned pages from books, took pictures of Microfilm, etc. I was fortunate in finding several books./ papers / and family histories prepared by family members through the years.

Many other hobbies over the years have crowded my family tree addiction. I built an airplane, a wooden boat, restored two antique automobiles, plus building furniture and countless other woodworking projects.

All these other activities have been eliminated over the last year as a result of a nuro - muscular disease, so I'm back in the family tree business. I'm enjoying taking advantage of all the advancements made with the new Family Tree Maker Program. Cleaning up the file has been a major project. I've made it possible to sort all the military people by particular war and unit served in. I am sorting the cemeteries by state, thereby making it relatively easy to find them.

This resulted in my finding findagrave.com. This has resulted in a new level of addiction. Working Family Tree Maker and Find a Grave Simultaneously, I am adding information to my family tree from the grave information and; when I find a grave record missing, I add it. Then I frantically try to get obituaries, links to family members, and then add missing dates.
