RE: Louella Alexander Chamberlin
I am sorry to report that John is not buried with her or anywhere else in this cemetery. If you have not already done so, you might take a look at the Columbia Cemetery website to see if there are any clues that could help you. Here is the address for Louella's biographical page:
https://gisweb.bouldercolorado.gov/agswebsites/parks/columbia/columbia.htm?IDNUM=1164
Good luck, Amy

RE: Minnie Bassett Whitehead
Diane,

In case you are interested, I followed up on Minne Bell Whitehead. She was born 22 Aug 1867 and died in 1916. Because she was a minor and orphaned at an early age, she showed up in guardianship probate records for Branch Co. which are available on Ancestry. Her guardian did not give her what she thought was due her, and she sued him. In these records it gave her married name as Mulkin. She married Eugene L Mulkin. Her burial: Wooster Cemetery, Danbury, Connecticut, Find-a-grave # 72256951 . She is a 1st cousin, 4x removed to me. My common relative with her is Benjamin Whitehead and Polly Smith.

Somewhere along in my work, I picked up her birth year as 1861 when it was 1867. I have eliminated my note on Find-a-grave.

I have a third Minnie E Whitehead in my notes, burial in Hillsdale County, # 31651642

Minnie E Whitehead
I have a note in my records that says:
Don't mix up with Minnie Bassett Whitehead wife of Willard Whitehead

I will have to do some more research, but there does appear to be two Minnie Whiteheads, one by birth, daughter of George and Samantha Whitehead, and the other by marriage to Willard Whitehead. Willard was the son of Charles Rollin Whitehead and Grandson of Benjamin Whitehead.

Have you looked at Willard Whitehead and his family? I will look a little further myself.

Wheeler, Elnora
She actually is buried in Coldwater at Mason Cemetery with her 2nd husband Stephen. The marker in Snow Prairie is just a memorial and I did note it as such.

Correction, I have found Violet Emily Ottman Bartlett Find A Grave 82721794

I have placed a request to link her to William her husband.

I found her listed as Lettie the wife of William on his WWII registration record.

Lettie is the mother of my aunt Eileen by marriage who was married to my uncle Terry Snow. He passed in 1952 and Eileen remarried to Lawrence Thorson.

If you are on ancestry you can see my (Public) page of Lettie and William at: http://person.ancestry.com/tree/20789063/person/19220266321/facts

Hope this is what you are looking for,
-Malcolm

Edwin Batterson
Hello,

There is no marker for Edwin Batterson the Memphis National Cemetery. If he is buried there he has a headstone marked "Unknown U. S. Soldier". If you would like I can put a photo of one of those markers on his memorial. Please let me know.

Semper Fi,
Bruce Linz

Hi Cousin,

Yes, it would appear that we are very distantly related, given the information you provided. Glad to have you on board as a relative.

Attached two pics of her stone--unfortunately mostly unreadable. Wouldn't have noticed her except you said about Gallop. This was was in a small grouping composed of her father Leroy Gallop and her son ? Otto Fields. Felt the raised letters on top and am comfortable it says Edith. If you want Otto, am happy to transfer.

I also went to church with the Watkins Family in Benton Harbor. Ruth was best friends with my grandmother Madge Thompson and I was best friends with Richard growing up. We went to the Free Methodist Church. I never met the boys but always heard the story about them. very sad....

I have put a call in to the Township clerk who handles records for that cemetery. She may be able to tell me where he is buried in the cemetery, a lot number or plot section. If so, I'm happy to go back again and look one more time in case my husband and I somehow missed the marker. I'll let you know what I find out.
