They are not direct relations. See guidelines for transferring. Thanks. Edits are welcome.

I'm happy to transfer, but please use the edit feature on each memorial for accuracy purposes. Thank you, Carolyn

Family Means Everything
RE: Clarence Slater
You're welcome. Please mark the memorial pages that George and Addie don't have headstones so no other volunteer looks for them needlessly. I have all records and maps for Elmwood Cemetery which makes it a lot easier for me. But for others, it may not be so easy. Thanks so much!

Family Means Everything
RE: Clarence Slater
Your request was for Clarence Slater but your message said otherwise. I've fulfilled your requests. George L and Gladys have a headstone but their infant and George W. and Addie do not have headstones. I am updating memorials with additional information. Enjoy!

RE: Jane Towle
I have double checked with administration and visited the sight. Jane Towle and her son Robert are NOT interred at Woodlawn but they both are mentioned on the large family stone in the Towle family plot. I will get a picture of Jeremiah's stone (he is buried here) after tomorrow's snow storm.

Jane Towle
Just figured out the confusion; a Steven Smith requested I put that family plot picture on the site for Jane A. Towle and I did so without questioning the data. I should not have since the records at Woodlawn clearly indicate she is not buried there. I still will go to the site to double check.

RE: Jane Towle
I have access to the Woodlawn index which I did not when I first began shooting photos of Woodlawn. According to their compiled index there is a Jeremiah Towle (death in 1880, their son) in the Beech plot shown but not of their parents, Jane and Jeremiah. I will go back out to the Beech family plot and survey the individual stones once the snow is melted (yes it is still here). Sometimes the compiled index does not contain all the burials (and vice-versa). sorry about any confusion.

Correction of Maiden name of Joseph W. Towle's 1st wife
Joseph Wilson Towle married Loretta Averill Matteson on the 29th of December, 1921. She was either divorced from Charles James Matteson, or he died. Charles and Loretta had one child, a son, Charles Roosevelt Matteson. He's found living with Loretta and her mother, Ellen Cooper Averill in the 1920 census in Beltrami County, Minnesota, and with "Wilson" and Loretta Towle in the 1930 census. Hope this helps. :)

Mary & Ira Towle
Let me know if those photos are large enough. I've reduced them from the masters to make them small enough for FindAGrave.

David, I also checked Minnesota Cemetery Inscription Index for Mary Christian. Did find Marys, but I'm not sure if any of them are the second wife. No record of a Mary Christian in the Northfield Cemetery.

Lewis Daniel Bishop
Thank you for posting the photo of my grandfather. It's better than the one I have.

Are you related to Lewis?
