|John "Mike" Kinsey||John Jay Curtis|
Find A Grave Memorial# 98983395
Orlene, I'm doubting that his name, as on the grave marker is correct. I found in some research that his name was John Jacob Curtis, and he was commonly known as "Jay". I've seen his name listed as Jay Jacob Curtis.
Not a big issue, but just watch for it.
And I'm guessing, when I was in grade and early high school, he worked at the feedstore on the opposite end of Main street from Sowder's Feed store. It was owned by Ed Sherman, and a brother as I recall.
I vaguely recall an older fellow working there and it seemed they called him "Uncle Jay". I suspect, this was the same fellow.
I'll bet Les Sherman who is about your age could confirm or deny.

Lydia Lawless b. 1865 Arkansas to Augustus Lawless and Jane (possible Temperence Elliot. Augustus incarcerated in 1857 LIttle Rock Ark. Wife Jane died shortly after this leaving, children: Alfred b.1841, Richard b.1844;Tillman b. 1847: Kaziah b.1849: Austin b 1852 my g-grandfather: and possible Lidde b. 1865. All these children were listed on the 1860 Ark Census in Crawford County, as foster children. Lidde is the only one not listed in our family records, but I strongly feel she is one of this family because of her circumstances are similar to the other children. I would love to know if she is a missing child from this family.

Thank you for the honorable mention in your bio. You are an excellent person to be managing those memorials and someone I trust to keep on top of any suggested changes to the ones we have already created, to make sure the changes are accurate. That is so important with the new auto-edit function, there are few I would trust the memorials of my loved ones with. Good job!

|John "Mike" Kinsey||Biz Gleason|
I found an obit that tells in which cemetery Aunt Biz is located. (little victory dance!)
I started to add her info the FinadaGrave, but felt that would be underhanded of me. ;-)
Interested? Of course you are!!
Date: Tuesday, January 17, 1978
Location: Portland, Oregon Paper: Oregonian Article
The obit mentions Biz is buried in the Lincoln Memorial Park
So, how to do it? Hmmm, your call! Just let me know!
And I'm wondering if we went to Toronto School about the same time. I am probably a bit older than you if we are of the same generation. I seem to recall a Bedigrew a year younger than I am.

Hi Orlene. I saw some of the other messages and I wasn't sure if the email address was correct so I thought I'd send an initial note this way. My name is Karen Lee Bedigrew Isaacson. Great, great granddaughter of James Alexander Bedigrew, who was the brother of Jonathan Allard Bedigrew. Thank you so much for all of the information and photos that you've loaded into this database. I can't go further back than Jonathan and James's father Alexander. If you have information further back I would love it. If there's any information you need from my line I'd be happy to share it. I'm also on Ancestry.com. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.

|Brenda Nemeth||Oliver and Sarah Patterson|
I went to the Toronto cemetery last month and found my 3x great grandparents, John F. Patterson and Louisa Josephine Cox Patterson. You have two other memorials indicating their children Oliver (you indicate he died at 2 years) and Sarah (died at birth). I couldn't find any markers near John and Louisa and I am trying to get more information. I was wondering where this info came from. The Patterson's were in Toronto from 1888 to 1904. Thanks, Brenda Patterson

Hi Orlene, I tried sending you email but apparently you have changed it. I posted this memorial in 2012 from some information given to me by another person. Today I received an obituary from another person which states he was buried in the Greenwood Cemetery and there is a memorial for him there. I am going to delete my memorial but I wanted to give you a chance to download your picture of the metal marker and transfer it to the other memorial before I deleted it. If you do not have the original, just right click on the picture and you can download it using the save image as link to your computer. Let me know when it is ok to delete it. Thanks.

|Loretta (Willis) Rainey-Fones||Ada Bedigrew Lowrance|
No, I didn't find a stone for Ada anywhere near Lowrance or Canasty. I have a cemetery book that lists all visible stones in the late 90's. There is not a listing for Ada with either surname and there are no listings for any Bedigrew either. It's a stumper for now. Loretta

Hi Orlene, I'm going to fill your photo request. You might take note that on his stone there is no date of death inscribed, and year of death is one year off. And, that he shares the stone with Lucy M. "his wife". 27 Feb 1865 - 6 Apr 1928. You might send an edit request to link them. Loretta

I have copied your photos of the headstone for Emma and Albert Lake to add to their entry in my family tree. I just wanted to say thanks for sharing your photos unconditionally. It's too bad that not all Find A Grave members are as kind.

Regarding Pvt William Smith, mem #110706531 in Toronto Cem., Toronto, KS...it reads "Pvt. Co 11 - 5th Regiment", That doesn't make sense.
Companies go A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,K,L,M.
If he served in the 5th Regiment, I need to know what state it was from.
