Thank you so very much for photographing the grave marker for my two cousins. I had been trying to find their final resting place for several years...finally I located it last week and now it is complete with a photo of their grave marker!
I truly appreciate your kindness and generosity.

Thank you so much for taking the picture of Harrison's grave stone and a copy of his death certificate. Baby's graves are so sad but I did want to know about him. He would have been my great uncle. This couple had lost their first baby boy in 1913 as still birth and lost a third child (male?)to stillbirth. The fourth child was female and she survived to become my mother. She was A- and my father B+ so they also had problems with "Blue Baby" syndrome or RH Negative as it is identified today. I was the 5th and last child and barely survived. Whew. Thanks to science this is now taken care of in the first pregnancy.
Thanks again.Very sweet of you angels :-)

Thank you so much. I saw the stone, but hoped for an area photo so that if there were additional stones with similar names or design that it would show in the area, as well as making the stone itself easier to find. But that is okay to have only the headstone itself.

Hello! I was wondering if you would allow me to attach (with appropriate credit given) your headstone photo from this memorial to my tree on Ancestry?
Thanks for considering my request. :)

Thank you for the abundance of memorials added to Find A Grave - so helpful and much appreciated.
Is it permissible to add your photos to our Ancestry tree - with a credit line?

|Adam Kyle Simpson||NYSTROMS & BAKER OF RIVER VIEW CEMETERY|
Thought I'd pass on this message concerning a photo request claim I investigated at River View Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
It concerned the locating of a gravestone for Isadore Nystrom (#127250417) which you created and manage. There is another memorial page for this individual under the name Isidorus Axel Gyllenstierna (#159845374) which is managed by volunteer Invenio Sepulchrum (#47222156). The following was my REPORT PROBLEM message to this requester...
(Sent to Invenio Sepulchrum (#47222156):
I've reviewed the burial records for Isidorus Nystrom Gyllenstierna (aka Isadore Nystrom) and have discovered a few details which should be brought to your attention:
1. There already exists a memorial page on FIND A GRAVE.com for an Isadore Nystrom (#127250417) which includes a link to a memorial page for his wife Hester E. Nystrom (#127250197). These pages are both managed by FIND A GRAVE volunteer FriendsofRiverView (#47910568). You may want to confer with this volunteer about exchanging information so as to avoid future confusion for users.
2. The staff at River View Cemetery has sent me a copy of the burial records for the site where Isidorus (Isadore) and Hester are buried: Section 2, Lot 222. The records clearly state "NO MONUMENT". I've also personally probed the lot to visually check for any covered gravestones for Isidorus and/or Hester. I found nothing for this site with one exception which leads me to my next detail of interest...
3. In Section 2, Lot 222, there is one gravestone which is visible at this site. The grave belongs to a Mary Baker (#126731093) who passed in Nov. 1934. According to the River View records, Mary was interred in this lot on Dec. 3, 1934, years before either Isidorus or Hester were buried here. Looking at the burial diagram for Lot 222, Mary Baker rests in Grave #3 (interred 12/03/1934), Isadore Nystrom rests in Grave #2 (interred 03/07/1945), and Hester E. Nystrom rests in Grave #4 (interred 01/13/1951). There is not a Grave #1 outlined in this record. So basically Isidorus and Hester rest in graves which flank opposing sides of Mary Baker's grave who in turn does have a gravestone marking her burial. There is a stranger resting between Isidorus and Hester.
So Isidorus and Hester have no direct gravestone marking their burial sites save for the gravestone of Mary Baker.
I hope this has been an insightful read for you.

|Adam Kyle Simpson||PORTIA BRADY|
So I did a little further inquiring with the reliable staff of River View Cemetery about the returned gravestone of Portia Brady (#129992273). They were planning to reinstate the stone in Section 16, Lot 14, but by a twist of irony, they first reviewed their burial records which indicated that Portia's infant body had already been removed from the gravesite back in March of 1941.
The River View staff made a copy of Portia Brady's burial record card for me.
It reads as follows:
Date Aug. 21, 1906
3/6/41 Removed from grave and remains cremated and
sent to Port Blakely, Washington.
See Permit #22475.
The executive director of River View Cemetery sent me an email earlier today confirming what the burial record card indicated and that they do not know how the gravestone ended up in someone's residential property.
I've asked the River View staff to hold on to the gravestone of Portia Brady. It's a long shot, but I'm hoping there's some way I could get it returned to Portia's living family members.
Any further questions please ask me.
I'm trying to get the ball, or stone, rolling on this one.

Thank you so much for including her obituary on her memorial. I to was born and grew up in Grand Pre, Kings Co., Nova Scotia Canada and members of her Curry family still reside there. I hope you don't mind if I attach the stone for her parents which is in our Cemetery to her memorial. Thank you for all your work.

A new neighbor who is rehabbing an older home and digging out tons of trash in the overgrown yard here in SW Portland has found a gravestone for the infant Portia Brady. The FindaGrave memorial says there is no gravestone currently at the gravesite (Plot: Sec 16, Lot 14, MS).
Is there any way to get this gravestone to its proper spot? I know absolutely nothing about this infant or her family, nor how the stone got into the yard of a private home in SW PDX in the first place - but it seems wrong to have a stone for the grave and let the site remain unmarked.
Please let me know if there is someone I can directly contact to pursue this. Thanks.
