RE: Nathaniel C Farmer
Not a bother. Just wanted to let you know I may not be all here for a little while. I haven't been able to locate the cert just yet. Probably in my backpack since I got it recently. I'll find it eventually.

RE: Nathaniel C Farmer
Keith, Lost my dad on this past Sunday. He was the reason I was trying to tie the farmer line back to Nathaniel. I knew I probably wasn't going to make it in time but I will continue to get that line tied up in his honor. I do have Nettie's death cert but it is very little help unfortunately. I will scan it and send you a copy. I don't think the person giving the information was listed and possibly one or both of the parents are missing.

RE: Levi Farmer Sr.
Keith, Yes you did respond to me. I am still fighting to find a link between Nathan Farmer and Levi Farmer. Everything I have seems logical but no hard facts. Last we communicated, you were on the road and were going to check your records when you got back home to see what if any info you had on Levi and Nathan.

I'd be glad to help in any way I can with the cemetery. No vacations for genealogy research in the near future for me but someday I hope to get up there and see it. So swamped at work right now, I'm lucky to see my family that live with me.

Let me know what I can do to help.

RE: Levi Farmer Sr.
Keith, Have you been able to prove the line back through Levy to Nathaniel? I cannot find any information like a will, probate papers, family bibles or anything else to use to prove the line. I would really like to get this one proved out and add it as a supplemental application to SAR. I am currently waiting on my first SAR application. Made it past the local chapter and the Texas state society, just waiting on the national society at this point. I am hoping I can find a will or something for Nathan Albert and am already ordering the death certificate for Nettie.

Thanks
DS

We are down in League City just outside of Houston. My dad's adoptive parents moved down here looking fro work during the great depression and the family has been here ever since. Lots of railroaders in the tree. And blacksmiths.

RE: Levi Farmer Sr.
Keith, My line goes through my Dad, Paul T Schwarz, his biological father was Paul Smith, Paul Smith's father was James Alvie Smith. James was the son of Joseph Smith and Nettie Farmer. Nettie was the daughter of Nathan Albert Farmer. Nathan was the first born of Levi Farmer Sr. who of course was the son of Nathan the patriot. I am planning a trip up to Logansport and the surrounding area in the next year or so. Lots of records I need to find and several cemeteries I want to visit as well. I wonder if any of the ancestors knew each other up in Cass, Miami or Carroll counties.

Levi Farmer Sr.
Hi Keith,
I have a lot of ancestors who lived in and around Cass, Carroll and Miami counties in Indiana. The Farmer family is on of the branches on my dad's side. Levi Farmer Sr. is my 4th great grandfather. Was there a stone or any marker at all for his burial plot? I have no pictures of him and only three land certificates that have his name on them. I am trying to put this line of the family together all the way back to Nathan who fought with the Maryland line in the Revolutionary War. I'd sure like to see a pic if you have one.

Thanks,
Don S.

RE: Sherman Family
Hi again there was a David Sherman whom may have been the son of Amasa ; On the 1850 Census for Carroll County I found David and Nancy Sherman and R.M. was their son. I heard my grandmother talk about the Ryan and Deford family along with Rhineheart. One of David and Nancy's girls married Levi Watson.
