Cynthia M. Goodell Miles
Kevin, I was looking at memorial 96469963, for Cynthia M. Goodell Miles and you said that she was buried by her husband John with no marker. I was wondering if you would know which side of him she is buried on and if you were able to get that information from the cemetery or a family member? Thanks, SJ

Thanks! I understand it now. I thought they were infant children of Alva instead of his brothers. Thanks for explaining it to me!

Thanks so much for the transfers! I appreciate your kindness. I was not aware of them having the two infants. Would you please give me more specifics as to where the infants are buried? I am not familiar with Mill Creek. Is that the name of a cemetery? Thanks!

Victorine "Rena" Condray
Hi Kevin,

Including Rena, you have several Find A Grave memorials for "Condray."
"Rena" is my 2nd Cousin, 1X removed. I have 9 generations of her maternal (Parsons) ancestors.
~If you're interested in a compare and share, Rena has a sister Anna who possibly had a twin and perhaps their mother, Martha Parsons Condray (my 1st cuz., 2X rem.), died when Anna (& her twin?) were born. (I think)
I "grew up" in NE and now I'm old and living far from KS, so I can use some help.

RE: Axlton
Don' worry about it, leave as is, no he is not related--I am carefull about making doubles, but they seem to get in anyway--no problem. I think my worst "nightmare" is ones, only have half the name and I think it could be a relative. There should be a beep for part of the names. and then we would realize it! (just kidding) Have good day Marie

Thankyou for telling me, I am not home--I added what could--they are relatives of mine and I have a lot more info at home --I know it not a duplicate so not sure what problem is. Marie

RE: Nancy Lee
No I am not related. I live next to the cemetery. When the cemetery belonged to the Odd Fewllows my Dad was on the board. I grew up next to it since 1951.

Dorothea Dettmer
Hi, Kevin. I got your message about adding my great grandma's maiden name to her memorial. It took me a while to do it, because I wanted to consult a relative's research first. I am assuming the Taperman/Tokelman names came from Pioneers of the Bluestem Prairie. I saw you authored the Lilley entry, by the way. The Dettmer entry was written mainly by my Aunt Helen, and those names were evidently passed down by word of mouth. This other relative actually went to Germany and found documents. Whether Tepelman is right or not, I don't know, bit I put a little more stock in it. I know she and Herman were married in Emtinghausen, but I'm not so sure she was born there. I will have to look through that research more.

RE: Mabel
You are welcome. I noticed last night after replying that you live in Manhattan. Know it well. I went to K-State, graduated 1969, and my parents retired there for about ten years until my dad died and mother moved to Texas to be nearer her only grandson. We were from Thomas County.

RE: Chas. A. Trotter
I looked for Mabel at Family Trees there say she died 27 Oct 1952 at Salem, Pike County, Arkansas. I only saw one Trotter in that county at F.A.G.; not one of her children. There are eight family trees with nearly identical information about her. None mention Fred; her parents are as you have them. I started my search for Allen Shelby Trotter's children with census and WW I records for his sons; then went to F.A.G. using family trees mostly to find daughters' spouses. Since many of the family moved to California in the 1930s those good CA Death Indexes came up at Ancestry for all who moved there. So, her year of death and where she died is different than your source. The only source for her death was Ancestry family trees, not a primary source. I clicked through the children in one tree and didn't see any Arkansas references; most recorded they died in Hutchinson. I think your information is as reliable as any that I found. Too bad if she re-married it was someone with such a common name!

RE: Mary Smith
Of course I have heard the Lilley name, and I am aware the 80 acres on School Branch; the land still appears in their name on the 1909 Centre Township Map. I heard Dad use the name "Lilley Ranch" a few times, but I don't remember exactly what he was talking about. Is that the only land the Lilleys ever had?

RE: Mary Smith
Good luck on Maggie. It seems like I had run across her somewhere; probably in a census, but I hadn't done any research on her. Are the Teskes in your family tree? I have been interested in them ever since my dad pointed out their cemetery up on School Branch. Not many families have their own cemetery, after all. He grew up with the Hagenmaier boys.

Hi Kevin

I was looking at my notes and I thought that his calculated birth date would be 8 July 1817?

Hi Kevin,

Made links to parents and through that I looked for a few other children of John and Marthat's and made links for them too. Again surprised my mother didn't link them already. Hmm.

Blessings, Christine (Beverly's daughter)

Hi Kevin,
Made links to parents.
I find it interesting that my mother entered a lot of these family members of ours but didn't link them all together.

Blessings, Christine (Beverly's daughter)
