RE: Ruffing Immaculate Conception
Dustin,
I am exploring my paternal grandmother's side of the family. Her mother was Anna Furlong. Ann's brother James Furlong's daughter Ruth married Louis Ruffing. At this time I am only recording Louisís parents and Louis & Ruthís children. Perhaps in the future I will go further and look at the book that you mentioned. Thanks, Chuck

Dustin, thanks for your persistence! I appreciate it, this helps my filling out the family tree.

Is it correct to assume that Louis's wife Ruth was probably on the same marker that is missing?

Thank you,
Chuck

Hi Dustin. I guess that I Am in the proverbial 'between a rock and a hard place'! Carole tells me that she has seen markers for the Ruffing family, and you have stated that you cannot find them. I was merely conveying to you what Carole told to me. Not knowing the cemetery like you two people, I am so appreciative of your help. I guess I was just looking for confirmation from you that you have not seen any Ruffing markers in the "new" section that Carole mentioned? Perhaps I need to ask her to search these out and take pictures? Although I don't know if she volunteers to do that. Thanks for being a F.A.G volunteer....you know your efforts are much appreciated. chuck

RE: Ruffing Immaculate Conception
Hi Dustin,
There must be a disconnect somewhere, I'm not sure. Here is the reply from my POC Carole Murray at Immaculate Conception about New Section - Row 15:

""I know there are Ruffing graves in the cemetery because my husband's great uncle (who was a McMahon) married a Ruffing, so I did take some photos of Ruffing graves in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Many of them are near our McMahon graves. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I took photos of the Ruth, Louis and Mary Louise stone(s).

Or is he just talking about that particular grave(s)? I know the book does have some errors, but those are mostly names that were not included or incorrect dates. I've never come across three names that were included in error.""

I appreciate your help on this matter.
Chuck

Ruffing Immaculate Conception
Hi Dustin,
I appreciate your taking a look for Ruffing. My source has indicated that three Ruffing - Ruth b:1908, Louis b:1901 and Mary b:1938 were in the new section row 15. I just want to confirm that you were not able to find any of the Ruffing in that area?
Thanks again,
Chuck

RE: Gissler/fritz photos

Good Morning Dustin,

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to photograph your family's gravestones. My dad was a deer hunter and I was a photographer. Although we did not share each other's interest, we did share a common attribute...the ability to patiently wait for "the shot". As dad waited to bag his deer, I wait for the arc of the sun to create the optimum lighting and shadow opportunities to capture my "shot." And, while I was working on your family, I also captured scores of other grave photos for 'Find A Grave' as well. Plus, it gave me that "pause that refreshes". My father once said that being out in the woods wasn't so much about getting the deer as it was about "being out in the woods." I get that.

Catherine Brann's gravestone eluded me. That doesn't mean it's not there. The area in question is hilly and covered in large old spruce trees. Some stones are nearly covered in a deep layer of pine needles...and, I'm sure, others are completely covered. I will try at a later date to zero in more on Catherine's resting place by seeing who is buried around her.

So, thank you, Austin. Your request was the impetus for a very relaxing day away from day-to-day responsibilities and it was also a glorious Spring day to be outside.

Best Regards,

RE: Mount Calvary Cemetery

Good Evening Dustin,

You are most welcome! It really was my pleasure and my "give away" for all the people who have responded to my own requests for photos. And, thank you for your "thank you". I'm surprised at how often I receive no acknowledgement for answering photo requests. Therefore, your response is deeply appreciated...and valued.

Mike

Yes, was just notified today. Scanned the cemetery, cannot find any dupe. Was going to offer to share my info, then delete my memorial, as asked. But would like to see why, first?

RE: Margaret Perryman
Yes I requested one. i may have estimated her birth year since it gave her age in the newspaper article I posted on her memorial. Did you read the article? She was murdered by her husband so I am not surprised that she would be buried by her parents. I bet you have the correct one for sure. I also research them on ancestry. Thanks for asking
