|huthmacb||Charles DeWitt information|
Thanks so much for the obit you sent for Charles DeWitt--he is my 3rd great grandfather. This will be a great addition to my ancestry collection. I see that you also have DeWitts in your family so I assume we are distantly related somehow. I am descended through Charles' son Winfield who had a son Herbert who then had my grandmother Helen and then my father James. What part of the DeWitts are you from?
Thanks again for the info--I greatly appreciate it!

|Gail Siverling Dulgar||McMaster/McMasters|
Levi McMASTER (NO S) is my direct ancestor. My mother was a McMASTER (NO S).. A couple of the kids used the (S) but it is not traditional.. The family in Ballston Spa, NY (where Levi was born) was all McMaster (NO S)

I do not have anything other than the row number. His wife Caroline is buried in Whitacre Cemetery in Cygnet, Wood Co, Ohio. I linked Lewis to her also.

Bob, the Megginson memorials aren't mine and the site you sent me is for John McKee. I'm confused. Judith
Added by Lavidaloca on Dec 18, 2013 5:18 AM
Bob, that is William F. McKee in the 13th OVI, mine is William J. McKee who would have been 11-15 years old. Thanks, Judith

|Mackenzie||Re: Daniel Guyer|
Hello! I made the suggested addition to Daniel Guyer's memorial. If you were interested or wanted me to transfer management, I would be more than happy to do that. I just have him added because I was out taking other photos and I usually take a few extra to add to Find a Grave.

|Tom Lau||Benjamin Waggoner|
Thanks for the info. The memorial I created for Benjamin Waggoner... was based on what Jim Instone of Bowling Green told me this past summer. He is a descendant of Benjamin. He volunteers at the library there in Bowling Green. I live in Findlay. So.. I'm a little confused now. I can't find his email either to forward your tidbit of info.

I forgot: the source of the information was the 1890 soldiers census. https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-16936-17204-54?cc=1877095&wc=MM1N-ZQC:98113724

Uriah served in Company F 86th Ohio Volunteer Infantry from June 1863 to February 1864 and then in Company I 144th Ohio National Guard from May 1864 to September 1864. He was a fourth generation soldier. Judith

Thanks for the heads-up. John was a private. He enlisted from Plain/Weston Towhship in 1861 and discharged in 1865. He was transferred to the VRC by order of the war department in 1863. I would guess he was wounded or otherwise incapacitated for active duty.

Lilly is probably adopted because Rebecca would have been nearly 60 in 1896. Also, Lilly's father was born in Germany and her mother in Ohio. The 1910 census is the only record of her.

|Alice||Edith Wade Harker|
I am not related but my sister-in-law is. To the Wade family.
This is what I found via ancestry.com:
Edith married Charles H. Harker, b. abt 1878 in Harrison, Iowa.
He died in 1941. I don't know if he was a war casualty but I think he probably died in Iowa. He and Edith may have divorced because I see he also married Minnie Manerva Snyder about six or seven years after his marriage to Edith.
Children of Edith and Charles Harker:
Charles Melvin Harker, 1903-1967
Mildred Edith Harker, b. abt 1903 (twin to Charles Melvin)
Jean Frances Harker, b. abt. 1905.
