I really appreciate you showing the photo of Bill Adams in Hopkins Cemetery. He was my husband's uncle and we never knew where he was buried. There are two of his children buried with him also.

Would you care to transfer them to me?

Thanks again, Sandy Carson Adams #47874013

RE: House Cemetery
The only thing I remember about getting to the cemetery is that it was on Highway 472 in Fogertown just after crossing over into Clay county. I am sorry that I can not be of more help. I remember that I turned right on a road and there was a place to pull off and it was behind a house on the left side of the road. The last time i was there it was very well maintained.

Sorry I can't offer more help.

Tammy

RE: Massey Family Cemetery
Coming from Manchester on Rt. 421, turn right onto Jacks Branch Road. Turn left onto a gravel driveway by a green iron gate. The driveway goes to a house and the graveyard is by the house behind the shed and next to a chicken yard on a hill.

I noticed the obituary says he is buried in the "Stivers Cemetery," but you have a photo of his headstone and it is listed in the James Reid Cemetery. Is Stivers Cemetery an alternate name for James Reid Cemetery?

Thanks.

RE: Alice Caudill
Hi! I do have Alice in my database, the daughter of William Moses "Big Will" Caudill (1873-1916) and Elizabeth "Bettie" Caudill (1884-1940). But I don't have anything for her after the 1910 Census. I do know that after Big Will's death Bettie married Gilbert Henson in 1918. Is it possible Alice took his name? She was not living in the home in the 1920 Census for Clay County, Kentucky. Since she was 16 by that time it is very possible that she has already married and moved out. May I recommend if you haven't already, look for an Alice Caudill or Alice Henson marriage in the late 1910's in Clay County, KY. Good luck...and let me know what you find!

RE: Memorials
Have you ever tried the "Upload and Transcribe Beta" on the home page? It lets you upload your photos all at once and then go through and transcribe them as you get time. If you don't get them finished within 7 days, they open up for other people to help you transcribe them. I always use it when I take pictures at cemeteries and it's actually much easier and faster than putting the pictures on each individual memorial. If you put them up on that, people would have them done in no time. You still get to retain your credit for the picture, but it also adds credit for another person for transcribing. All you have to do is select which cemetery the photo belongs to and then you can create new memorials if there isn't one right from the image.

If you took the picture with a cellphone or some other GPS enabled camera, it automatically adds the GPS coordinates for the grave to the memorial, as well. It's pretty awesome, really.

If you click on the Find a Grave logo up in the upper left, it will take you to the home page. The link for the Upload and Transcribe is located at the bottom of the page with a big pink NEW!!! next to it. Or, you can just click this: http://www.findagrave.com/enable-beta

If you don't feel comfortable using it, I'd be glad to help you. Just let me know what you'd like for me to do.

Thank you for your help, as well.

RE: White Cemetery
I see what you mean now. I had never noticed the other cemetery to the northwest of the more obvious one on the map. Would you happen to know which one is the White Cemetery and which one is the White-Howard Cemetery?

Can you give me directions to this cemetery?

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=76531

I'm trying to figure out if this is a duplicate of the White-Howard Cemetery, found here: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=2461155

They are both mapped to the same location, but it doesn't seem that they have duplicate memorials.
