Your request for Sarah Bowler Olen at the Bird Island Cemetery: there are many Bowlers in the cemetery listing, but not a Sarah.
There is a W.N. Olin listed. Sorry I can't help you.

Anytime. If you'd like to manage the Salters in Bird Island, just send your member number via the edit tab. The genealogy group from the Olivia library might have an obituary for Seth.

RE: Seth T Salter, Renville county, MN
I've been digging a bit. I think the confusion is the county. From the Veterans Graves Index for MN, it states Seth is buried only in the county of Renville. I continued to try to do some location of him, but finally wondered about his military connection. I then went to the Nationwide Graves location and found Seth at Olivia:
1. SALTER, SETH TURNER
PVT US ARMY
CIVIL WAR
DATE OF BIRTH: 12/25/1838
DATE OF DEATH: 10/26/1919
BURIED AT:
OLIVIA CITY CEMETERY
OLIVIA, MN 56277
(320) 523-3763

An internet search for MN Veterans Grave Index and a second search for the Nationwide Gravesite Locator should help for documentation. Olivia's city and catholic cemeteries are divided by a dirt path within the cemeteries (road). Maybe Ledia/Lydia is also there. Bird Island and Olivia are 7 miles apart on US Hwy 212.

There are volunteer photographers in the area.

Hope this helps.

RE: Seth T Salter, Renville county, MN
Do you know which G A R post Seth was a member of? Bird Island's was Meade. Some others in Renville county:
Steedman,
Ben Franklin - Morton
Gen W. B. Hazen - Renville Station
Streedman/Streadman - Hector
C. K. Davis - Olivia
John S. Marsh - Renville/Redwood

From the cemetery records for Bird Island, there were no other Salter's listed in the city cemetery. There is a large Catholic cemetery in the same town.

Enoch Tuck
There is no record of a Enoch Tuck listed as buried at Chalmette.

However, there is a E. M. Tucker, (no state listed in the record). I wonder if this may be the person you are seeking.

I may go to the cemetery today and I will check that grave. If Maine is listed on the headstone I will include it on his memorial page.

Do you think this may be the person you are seeking?

Seth T Salter, Renville county, MN
The Bird Island cemetery was added from the cemetery records and from walking the cemetery. I didn' see this C.W. veteran on the list or from walking the cemetery quite a few times.

The veteran death index for Renville county shows a Seth Turner Salter buried somewhere in the county.

The Renville county historical society in Morton, MN or Renville county genealogical society (two separate entities) that meets monthly at the Olivia public library in Olivia, MN might be able to locate Seth for you. The public library might be able to get a message to the group; from there they might have obit's and/or the burial location.

He might be in Bird Island, yet with his family there, it seems unlikely that he would be there without a Soldier/G.A.R. stone at least.

Isaac W. Estes
Hello! My name is Rebecca Marden and I'm a relative of Isaac W. Estes. Thank you for creating a memorial for him! Your's says that he was buried in Gettysburg National Cemetery and there is also another memorial (#20815649) saying he was buried in the East Bethel Cemetery in his hometown of Bethel, Maine. I'm kind of confused. I was hoping you had some more information on the subject.

Thanks.
Rebecca

Enoch Tuck
The only Tuck I find listed at Chalmette is James Tuck. I see no listing for Enoch. It is possible he is buried at Chalmette, but either was never listed (I have many of these), or was buried in an unknown grave.

Do you have any information that might help me in locating his grave?

Joe

RE: pics at Antietam
Phd,
Glad I was able to find many of your requested headstones to photograph. There are several other Maine soldiers buried there in Antietam. I wasn't sure if you were looking for particular units or not. I was going to shoot all of them but it started raining and my visit to the cemetery was cut short yesterday.
Have a great day!

There is one damaged stone that I can make out only the middle initial/last name of W. Dolley. Possibly reads 11th Maine and died in Washington, D.C. on Dec.16, 1861. 25 years old.

Hi...noticed the flowers you left on this memorial indicate enlistment date of Feb 27, 1863. Found his Togus residential record which indicates an enlistment date of Feb 19, 1863. I removed the note about U.S. Navy from the memorial creator.

Headstone has him being killed in the Battle of the Wilderness on May 14, 1863. Is this the right person?

there is a discrepancy in dates. You have that he went on disability in june 1865 but he died in april of 1865. did you mean 1864 or is the date of death incorrect. you can use edit button to respond.

Diane
Weston Page
I looked for the grave of Weston Page at Baton Rouge National Cemetery. Since he is not listed on the VA website list, I looked in some sections where I knew there were a number of Civil War soldiers from Maine and Vermont. I did not find him, but will continue to look. We have found a few graves there that were not listed by the VA. Unfortunately, there are also many unknown Civil War soldiers. A few Catholic soldiers were buried at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery nearby, but he is not listed there, either.

I unclaimed the request because there are a couple of other volunteers who photograph that cemetery who are better than I am at finding graves. Hopefully one of us can find him!

I reported this problem on your request and now the request is gone.... Hopefully the system is just updating, but you might want to check it.

Other Dolleys in Loveitt Cemetery
Hi,

I am about to fulfil your Loveitt Cemetery photo requests. I found a few other Dolleys in the same area of the cemetery:

Louise Dolley 1868-1918
Huldah Dolley 1818-1856 (wife of John)
Joseph E Dolley d 8/29/1863 @ 11 wks (son of John & Nancy)

Let me know if you will be requesting photos/creating memorials for them.

Emilus Huntress photo
Hello, my name is Steve and I was wondering if you could post your photo of the headstone for Emilus Huntress, memorial #2950719, in the Beaufort National Cemetery, to my page for him here in Shapleigh. That memorial number is 127902146. He and his brother George have a memorial stone in their family plot. Thanks...
