|Turtle65||RE: Anna Gritzer|
I looked through my records and I found one person I have interest in. My Great Grandfather. I know he was buried at St Mary's Byzantine church. The only time I was able to look through the cemetery, I couldn't find a stone. I know there might not be one, but when you are taking pictures, could you keep a look out? I would appreciate it!:-)

Thanks so much! Her husband and the other Gritzer's. I have other relatives in the cemetery, but I need to check through my records.I haven't researched this side of the family in a while.
Thanks again! Tricia

Hi I noticed that you have taken pictures at St Stephan and we have been trying to find the graves of my husband's grandparents and since it looks like they did not arrive until late 1800's and might have had name changes they have been very hard to find. We did find a death certificate of Caroline Rayha burial in St. Stephan and I was wondering if you saw the names of Joseph or Caroline Hreha, Rayha or Rayhart at that cemetery..We live in Missouri and we are having a hard time with finding his people. Cannot find a list of graves for that cemetery. Thank you for your time and also for taking the time to do the find a grave entries. They have been so helpful in our search for family..Debra

Would you transfer the memorials for Peter P. Fink (1883) and Mary H. Fink (1884) to me? They are my great-grandparents. I would very much like to manage their profiles. Thank you for creating the memorials.

Thank you for posting the photo for my 2nd Great-grandfather and including the message to share the pictures. He has been a mystery as we're descended from a first marriage. This is nice closure for us so thanks again for your kindness!

Hi Lori--she is not a relation to me that I know of, but a lot of my family is buried in Benshoff Hill and Christ the Saviour, so I'm really interested in getting both documented!
Once I get Christ the Saviour done, I would love to document more history of the members of the church, so I may be back in touch to ask you some questions about her if you'd be up for it. :)

Would you happen to know manages this cemetery? Even though it is for St. Mary's on Power Street, it is not likely that the church runs it. Usually it is someone else. I am trying to find people who should be there, but they either never had a permanent marker or had one that was broken/damaged.

Hello, Lori--you have her listed at Benshoff Hill Cemetery and she is actually buried in Christ the Saviour Cemetery which is a specialized part of BH. Would you please change the cemetery, and I will delete my memorial, or I can leave my intact if you would like to delete yours. Just let me know. Thanks!

This is the 2nd stone that I have encountered with the two married names enscribed on it. You are correct about the problem of entering it when you put the two married names in the last name box. There doesn't seem to be a practical solution to it. The other stone resulted in a duplicate entry. I will request a transfer since there was some informtaion about her in family papers. Again thank you for your excellent work!

Dear Lori, Thank you so much for posting a photo of my paternal great grandfather's grave site. We have been searching without success for quite awhile and were told that many of the graves in the area where he is buried were destroyed over the years by the floods in Johnstown, PA.
Our family told us recently that his second wife was buried next to him but a marker was never placed. (they also thought there was no marker on his grave.) Her name was Nora Burns Hickey. We are also searching for his first wife, Bridget McCue (mc Hugh) Hickey who we believe died in 1893. Do not know where she may be buried.
Thank you again for your work and any further help!

Yes, I will do that. I am on another computer and it is not working well.
Thanks for your help. You are always so great to work with.

This is the memorial for my grandmother Rachel Nitch Worthington. I have a lot of info on it and hopefully you can remove the one you did afterwards.
Thanks for your help.

Tbe above is for Annie C. Roidal Nitch which I created in May 2012. Her husband, which you can link to, was also created by me, plus some of her children. Since it precedes the one you did, can you delete your site. I have placed more information on mine. These are my great-grandparents and aunts and uncles.
Thank you for your help.

Thank you for you kind words and for all you do, as well. When I'm done with this project I'll send you a copy if you'd like- just let me know.
Also, could you possibly send me the link again to the Decker Cemetery video? Sorry- I thought it was in my e-mail and I can't find it.

When you bring up your profile page and see the edit tab in the upper right, I'm sure you'll see that there are a ton of suggestions that I made for you to accept, reject, etc.
I'm working on a new project to try and identify as many people buried there as possible. Just like the Decker Cemetery, I'm finding hundreds of people there with no stones. I've printed off hundreds of obits and downloaded a huge number of death certificates to help prove who is there. I'm also trying to cross-reference each name to make sure they weren't moved to another cemetery (many were moved to Grandview).
This project will no doubt take many months, but I think it's a worthy project. I appreciate all of the updates for this cemetery as I try to figure this all out and connect these people when possible.

Here we go again... I sent a suggestion for Mary again. I found her death certificate and posted it. This says Cassidy as her maiden name, so I'm going with that.

I appreciate your help! St. Columba's is notorious for unmarked graves. I'm sure you may have noticed when you were there that there are large areas with no stones but lots of depressions in the ground.
Over the years I've found entire families buried there, none of whom have headstones. Right now I'm working on the Fitzsimmons and Maher (again) families and very few have stones. I guess this is my way of not letting them be "forgotten."
